Remarks
Getting admission to the top 4 B-school was a challenging task for me, but with my parent's and friends' support, I managed to get into FMS Delhi. Firstly, I gave the CAT exam and cleared the cut-off which was to score more than the 98 percentile. This helped me get a shortlist from here after I had filled out a detailed form with a written SOP test in it as well, the form cost me Rs 2000, and had to complete it by 15th JAN which was found online and I remember I got this form's link from Collegedunia website only which redirected me to FMS Delhi's official website. As it becomes difficult to find which website is a valid one. we had to clear an extempore and PI round.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBA Full-time course consists of 1st-year compulsory subjects like HR, OB, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, and Analytics and in the second year, we can opt for a specialization course of our choice. I chose this course because I wanted to learn how to form strategies. Our faculties are highly qualified and belong to top-notch organizations and universities. They are really good. Exams are in DU format. Faculty: Student is 1: 11.
Internships Opportunities
For summer internships which take place in October, we saw that in an online mode around 100 companies had visited us. They offered all kinds of roles. I interned at StateStreet an American firm that has a global presence, my experience there was full of learning with a stipend of Rs1,20,000 per month.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for college placements from the first semester only, for a summer internship in October. Then the second-year students sit for final placements in January. There are more than 122 companies that visited in the year 2022 for our batch. 100% of students get placed in their dream companies. After my degree, I wish to learn and enhance my skills, and one day I desire to become the CEO of a very big organization.
Fees and Financial Aid
FMS Delhi fees are low, only about Rs 96,360 for one year, which means only Rs 1,92,720 for two years for an MBA Full-time degree from FMS Delhi which is regarded as top 4 B-school colleges in India. There is an MSA (a student body) of FMS Delhi that charges Rs30,000 per year for extracurricular activities. The exam fee is Rs1,700 for each semester. In total, the expense would be Rs3,00,000 for two years. Scholarships are available provided to some students who require it from DU approved by the Dean, and the jobs provided are also good.
Campus Life
Our North campus is not that large, but we have an advantage in that I can interact with people from all batches and we know them very nicely. Also, the FMS Delhi campus has a library that has more than 1000 books and all our classrooms have projectors and digital boards with proper 24x7 Wi-Fi connection on the campus. FMS Delhi does not have hostels but students can opt for DU hostels. There are various extra activities like fests and inter-college and intra-college events going on in our college which are run by our student body MSA.
Interview Experience
I remember evidently that after I was shortlisted for FMS Delhi, we had to undergo an extempore and my topic for the same was "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao", I had to speak on this topic for 2 minutes. Then, my interviewers asked me a few general questions about my internship which I had done during my undergraduate.
