Course Curriculum Overview
The Course is outdated, professors come to class and read out from the textbook, and leave Visiting faculty for our Course was consistently good. Some add-on Vocational and tech-based courses were introduced when I was in1st year of BMS graduation and an additional fee was also charged. The degree is about to end in 4-5 months but nothing of that sort has even begun The class is overcrowded; 220 students enrolled but the class allowed has a seating capacity of 70-80 only Due today same, now and then we're asked to move out of the class and shift to other classes amid lectures or sometimes even exams. Lot many times, lectures are declared as canceled after students al has reached college, traveling for 1-2 hours.
Internships Opportunities
Very decent internships offered...average stipend 5-6k, average duration - 2 to 3 months We have companies like Deloitte, HDFC, and Accenture visiting to provide internships and placements. They believe in Mass recruiting, not skills and talent from our College
Placement Experience
The placements are handled by the placement cell. Students are eligible for placements from the 5th sem itself Average package = 2.5 LPA Approx 50% of students appear for placements interviews out of which 15-20% take up the jobs A big no for students who're traveling from another city in search of good knowledge and a Career Boss, very gentle advice as a senior...you'll regret taking it up, throughout your course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is pretty nominal I.e; approx. 36,000/- PA, it is an unaided course The fee is nominally hiked by 2-3k every year. Few scholarship programs are available Placements are way below average and range from 2-to-4 LPA There are v v limited opportunities in terms of sports and NSS competitions. Personal incident: I pitched my start-up idea to the Principal with help of the HOD of Entrepreneurship Cell for raising seed-level funding, she suggested a few changes which I made within 2 days. 10 months and haven't been able to meet the Principal due to unavailability. P.S. The HOD of my department has been very transparent and approachable throughout these 2 years. She puts in equal and extra effort for the growth and well-being of each student in the department. However, All Vice Principals and principals never want to meet students no matter how big an opportunity you try to tap into...Peons and Dadas are asked to sort out students by saying "Ma’am/Sir busy hain"
Campus Life
In terms of amenities and opportunities, the college is pathetic because a few functional clubs like NSS, Scope, and Zest keep getting their annual funds sanctioned but activities are monotonous like Dance, Drama, and Fashion Shows. We have very very limited infrastructural amenities consisting of a Sports Room, Auditorium, and Foyer. It is just a stand-alone building, nothing else. Over and above that, the college has been under renovation for the past 2.5 years...restricting it all the more to the only classroom(poorly ventilated)
