Eligibility for the course. To complete class 12 from a recognized board and secure above 50%. Applicant should study Biology( zoology and botany) and chemistry. Applications and notifications will be available on the official website of the University of Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Sc. Biochemistry is a more practical-oriented course. The college provides the best theoretical and practical knowledge in this discipline. The college is having 4 well-experienced and talented faculties. Semester exams are held according to the syllabus and curriculum of Kerala University. The course in overall view is a bit tough but easy to understand under proper guidance

Class Size: 500Course Fees: INR 400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a Government college tuition fees are comparatively lesser than other private or self-financing colleges. E- grants and other scholarships are available to the students. The course is not introduced into too many colleges at KU

The college celebrates every occasion. Fests are conducted for all such programs. The campus is a good atmosphere for the students. It is provided with a library that is useful for the students to refer to. Classrooms and laboratories are provided with the best amenities. Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is a booming industry in the world. I had selected this course hoping to achieve a successful career here in India. Little did I know that biotechnology had not picked up its pace yet in India. The exams conducted was frequently with 1 or 2 model exams in each semester for theoretical and practical. This helped us to have enough basic knowledge when we finally pass out. It would be better if more internships and industrial visits are included in the syllabus. It would give a better idea about our future. It will also help us to boost our resume. The jobs in biotechnology offers low salary here but large varities of experience can be gained. This helps us to have a better career outside of India.

Remarks:

Good remarks are our laboratory and library. These facility help us a lot for our study. The one thing and feel bad is our canteen. Our canteen needs more development. It require some more space and some standard foods. What we have now is average, we need a good canteen. All other facilities in our college are good according to me.

St. Berchmans is definitely one of the top rated arts and degree college existing in Kerala. There are various opportunities for students in improve at various fronts. But at the same time, the college doesn't provide much actual support for the students for their after college life. This poses as a great difficulty and confusion for students completing their UG or PG from this place.

This was the only goverment college with the course I was looking for. Mistaken for the Kariavattom university campus, manu students apply for the college and upon arrival feel disappointed. But my case was different, I needed the course and the college was not an option. I didn't keep any other colleges for allotment. Just this one and got selected in the first round itself. For admission one needs to have high marks in the 12th. Especially in biologyz chemistry and physics. Index marks with high scores are more probable to get in....Read More

Bsc geography is a very good coarse but it is difficult to score marks. It is job oriented. It can be in many field after tsking geography. We can perform very well in upsc exams. The eligibility of the course is to have 60% and above in science stream for higher studies. Interested students can apply for BSc Biochemistry in this college. Admission process is via allotment.
