Remarks

Eligibility - pass 12th boards In 2016 mh-cet exam was the entrance exam for mbbs. Cutoff marks for cooper - 184/200 Currently, neet-ug is the entrance for mbbs Cut-off marks for Cooper - 600+ After online counseling, you are allowed to medical college according to your rank. If u are allowed to a particular college, u need to visit that college for the admission process before the given timeline. Fees of mbbs in my year were around 75k/ year, which has increased now to around 1.25k/year. 50% of seats are allotted to reservation candidates. In addition to seats, they get a scholarship for fee payment. In the end, fees come out to be less than 3000rs /year for reserved candidates. The administration is a bit slow. And they don't mention all the requirements at first, we need to run here and there to bring the documents, xerox, attest, pen drive, etc. They need to be more prepared and professional.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Mbbs as a course is pretty good in this hospital. The academics are quite good. There are fewer faculty compared to other bmc and government medical colleges and they are less experienced too compared to Kem or Sion. Some wonderful professors will make u fall in love with the subject and at the same time, others teach just for the sake of teaching as a part of the job. So it's more like a self-study. Clinics are not to be missed. Exams are conducted as per muhs rules and timeliness. They are quite easy to pass unless the examiner wants you to fail. Practical exams are good going for most of us but a nightmare for some whom the examiners like to troll and show their knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship is to be practiced in the same institute of mbbs course. Cooper hospital has good internship exposure for fresh doctors. We got to learn a lot from simple blood collection to central line insertion. Managing various emergencies, opd, wards, oats, etc. It's overall a good learning experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees in 2016 were - 64000 tuition fees and around 10000rs extra for other purposes. Currently, Every year government is increasing tuition fees by around 10000rs. Which is quite high compared to other states. For eg., Gujrat state government college fees are around 25000/year and that too is covered under the scholarship. On average an mbbs course costs - 6lac in Cooper hospital. Hostel charges are decent Internship stipend - 11000/month

Campus Life

4

Annual fest name - arunodaya Conducted around the time of Ganesh Chaturthi, both academic and cultural fests. Various sports events, medical symposiums, cme, college days, and festivals are celebrated in the college round throughout the year. Classrooms are well equipped with modern facilities. Good chairs, projectors, and air conditioning. And considering the opening of new college building which is at par to international schools. The College library is pretty decent considering the books available. Timings are not student-friendly as ideally, a library should be open 24/7 but it is open only during office hours.
