Remarks

The process could be more hustle free. The reservation thing should be removed and real eligible candidates should be given more priority. Also, the seat numbers in the colleges should be increased considering the number of applicants each year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are two types of exams, mid-semester and end-semester. The mid-semester exams occur after 2-3 months since the semester begins. Exams for only theory subjects are taken. The end semester occurs at the end of the semester and practical and theory exams are taken. The mid-semester exam is comparatively harder than the end-sems. One can score well in the mid-semester if he/she starts studying 10-15 days prior. If the student has paid attention during all the classes, they can score well in the end-sem too.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship drive at MNNIT starts at the start of the 5th semester. Many big companies like Google, Microsoft, De Shaw, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Salesforce, Uber etc. visit to hire interns. The roles offered for CSE students are SDE, SWE or Analysts. The stipend goes from 30,000 to 1,60,000 per month. The internship period is of 2 months and there is a provision for a pre-placement offer too.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement drive starts at the start of the 7th semester and is conducted throughout the year. For Computer Science and Engineering, and Information technology departments, the placement rate is 99 per cent. Over a hundred companies visit the college each year for placements and offer a handsome amount of packages. The highest package this year was 1.4 crores by Amazon for the SDE role.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees have been constant for some years but the mess and hostel fees differ depending on the hostel allowed. In some hostels, the mess fees are 25 thousand and in some, it is 15 thousand. Many scholarships like ONGC scholarships are provided to students. Students get a chance to apply for internships at the start of their 5th semester which offers a handful of stipends.

Campus Life

4.5

There are plenty of clubs and committees in MNNIT. Most of them are run and taken care of by students. Clubs such as dance club, music club, athletic club, basketball club, Rotaract club, sae club, skating club etc. are open to join. Anyone can join a number of clubs and proper training is provided to them.

Hostel Facilities

3

Each semester, the registration fee is 12000 for a hostel. It is paid at the start of the semester. The process starts with filling out the form and making an online payment on the college's Dean's Academics website. Once the fees are paid physical registration is conducted in which the students receive the fee receipts and then it is submitted to the warden's office in the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.
