Remarks

The courses run by the Department use mixed techniques of interactive lectures, tutorials, laboratory work, guided case studies, literature surveys and project work that require team work, critical and creative thinking.

Entrance Preview

I got an average score in JEE mains and scored 58% in 12th so ended up taking admission here with physics, chemistry and maths as considering among best four.this college because it got best infrastructure and placement support.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course here is good and regular research works are carried out from time to time. Also the faculty support is very good and the faculties here are very friendly. One can easily gl for their doubts and can also speak to the teacher directly. The overall aim is to develop a student fully.

Campus Life

Almost 50-50 gender ratio every one is very friendly girls and boys share very good friendly bond all take part together in every lab activity project and sports competition. all competitions are very good everyone perform as hard they can and play fairly.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are very nice they help there juniors in all possible way there are very good network of friendship between juniors and seniors they all share a good bond among them

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality
