Remarks

The admission procedure consisted of an entrance exam for the course to which I applied. After the exam, a merit list is published and if the name comes you can go and take admission in the time slot given. The admission procedure is quite simple.

The course I studied was Zoology and the faculty members were all highly qualified. They were all PhDs in this field. The overall aspect of the study was great. All the professors taught well and were friendly and cooperative.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the course was Rs- 24,000 which is quite affordable. They also give benefits such as giving your fees in installments if you're not able to give it in one go. There are scholarships for the ones who excel in the semester examinations. In our course, there weren't any placements.

Campus Life

The campus life is quite good. There are extracurricular activities in which you can enroll. There are various clubs for the same. The annual fest occurs in the month of February. There is one central library common to all and various departments have their own libraries.

Actually biotechnology is an interdisciplinary program where we have to learn mostly the practical skills but there is no such equipment for doing a decent type of research work as they are not in a working condition. So first it has to be corrected and new equipment should have to buy for a making a good laboratory.

Placement of my college is average. Campus placement is offered. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. WIPRO along with some few other private labelled company visited and no of offers made. Highest package is 6.3 lakhs and average package is around 3 to 4 lakhs per company. Around 50% of students got placed in campus placement offers. I want to do research in Environmental toxicology after getting the degree.

Because I made my mind so clear and I was interested in coding. Faculty of Information technology department is far good and their management system is nice they guide us in a far easier way. The student ratio is 100 : 50-50 The teaching methods on this pandemic is now online but the teachers put their efforts in a way for good. In terms of exams, the IT department is smart and they conduct in the priority of students best possible way so all the students can may appear their exams properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am chosen this course because mathematics is my strongest subject from all of the others that's why I can choose mathematics. Faculty member of our college is very supportive but some of the teachers are very rude behaviour. Our college teachers are very disciplined about teaching and any project work. My class have 250 students. Every semester our college takes mid sem exam then a viva exam, assignment on every paper, group discussion, surprise test. The exam pattern was based on their classes. The exam pattern is moderate most times.

My memorable journey of St. Xavier's, College, Ranchi.

For my course, selection was done on the merit basis. Any student who has completed his high school with 90+ marks in English was eligible for this course. The application form, fees, and dates, everything is appropriately available on the college's website. Yes, if you belong to ST/SC you are given reservation and relaxation in the cutoff. Exans are held regularly in a proper manner. The difficulty level of the exams conducted are moderate to high.
