Eligibility of the course was 50% minimum marks in Plus 2 level for students with Science as their main subject. The application form and details can be found on the college website www.saintgits.org Admission was done to NRI, Management, and 50% Government allotment seats

The Civil Engineering course is NBA accredited. The department had almost 30 faculty members. Many faculty members are pursuing Ph.D. and the teaching method was appreciable, giving us timely notes and PowerPoint presentations series exams were conducted after completion of every two modules, with a total of two series exams before the semester exam

The college collaborates with Internshala to provide various internship opportunities. The laboratories are full-fledged with modern equipment which would help us in attaining more knowledge once we are out into the industrial world. Subgrade improvement using coir geotextiles was a project done under the 'Rebuild Kerala' initiative by the department on the AC Canal Mankuzhy Road, Alappuzha district. Students had great exposure to such a project.

From the seventh semester, students can apply for campus recruitments. TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, South Indian Bank, Federal Bank, Byjus, and Paradigm have recruited 17 students from the department alone. The placement cell at the college had conducted training on preparing for various exams and mock interview sessions for all the departments

The scholarship is given to students based on their Plus two marks and KEAM exam results. Full course fee waiver for those having above 95% marks in their Plus two-level and those having rank below 7500 in KEAM exam Students having above 90% and 85% marks received scholarships of 50% and 25% respectively.

The annual techno-cultural fest conducted is named NAKSHATRA during the month of MarchLibrary is very well maintained with access to a huge collection of technical books and journals classrooms are digital college has a cricket team, football team, and a basketball team. NSS, Nature Club, Shortfilm and Photography Club, and Dance Club are the various clubs, and ASCE, and IEE are social groups coordinated by the students.
