Remarks

To fill out the application form you need to visit Jamiahamdard.edu. The application fee is around Rs.1500. In case you are adding more courses in the same form additional Rs.500/course will be charged. The application for the UG program is open till 14th August 2022. No matter whether you are appearing for CUET, you need to fill out the form. The application process is based on the merits you have scored in 10+2 (PCB/PCBM) Since CUET UG has come into existence in 2022, you need to appear for CUET first then based on your score in CUET and +2 you will be listed for the counselling session. Since covid the counselling session is not face-to-face, a google form link will be shared with you on your registered mail ID. After you will complete the process, a provisional admission list will be shared on your Email which will also be available on Jamia Hamdard's website http://jamiahamdard.edu. Reservation as per UGC and University guidelines (see prospectus)

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is Industry oriented and professional. Faculty: Student ratio is 20:5 i.e. 1 Mentor for every 4 students. The faculty is highly qualified, the professor and head are MBBS, MD (Pharmacology), DM (Clinical Pharmacology), 2 Assistant professors are PhD in Pharmacology and the other 2 Assistant professors are PhD in Pharmaceutical Medicine. The only person with a good teaching method is the Professor. The exams are conducted on time and it's not always easy to pass.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Bachelor's fees are around 60k per semester, Master's fees are around 100k per semester. No Financial assistance, No scholarships, No internships, No campus jobs. Fees were hiked unnecessarily and Not even worth it.

Campus Life

No annual fest, No tech fest. Only sports week is celebrated during the month of February. Central Library is well equipped with the latest books and Journals. For sports: Cricket Team, Football Team, Basketball Team, Volleyball Team (Women), Chess team. Social Groups: Epoch cultural society, Girlup Hamdard

Talking about the placements it has society that is placement cell you have to join it for updates and also you will register on your college portal also. I don't really know about the placement yet as I'm still in my 2nd year of college but the internship opportunities are quite good, you get a lot of well know as well as startup companies here looking for interns making it easily accessible to every course and year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

The course is superb, it combines everything, also the college offer great skill courses which helps to increase the employability. The exams occur after every 5 months and exams are not that much difficult if you have a knowledge of 12 th science you can easily clear it

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are for commerce background mostly, usually in 3rd year you might see some placements. I don't know exactly about thr company who visited because I wasn't enrolled in that particular course. Campus placements percentage is very low to be honest . 10-20% mostly. I'll pursue masters.

The course is good and due to diversity in this course as it contain three different subjects chemistry, zoology and botany due to which you have options further to take part in any course and in MSC you have multiple options to participate.

I applied in jamia millia islamia and jamia hamdard University both are good in terms of infrastructure. Mt first priority was always jmi but due to strict paper pattern which they conduct for their almost all courses, I didn't get selected for their course, but then I got admission in jamia hamdard University because the process of entering this college is literally easy and simple as compared to others because they do not take any exams for any of their course which is good for almost every student. Life at Jamia Hamdard University as a Pharmacy student

I got confirmed in one of the colleges of GGSIPU which was not so good for pharmacy and the location was also not ideal.
