An honest Student Point fo view

As I took my state EMCET exam I got a good rank and opted for several colleges and got admission to SVIT. The admission process was simple as all the application forms and fees and all the processes were there on the site itself and even they specified the dates on when should I submit the required certificates. I availed of OBC reservation benefits. Till now there are no faults in the admission process it is smooth and easy.

I choose the Mechanical engineering course because I was into these buildings and knew the process and uses of working machines. There are a total of 6 faculty and 2 classes in charge for a total of 102 students. The faculty or the teaching staff were good and highly educated or I can say that they completed Ph.D. level in the teaching subject. They make us understand things perfectly but not everything is good some faculty don't make us understand the subject and are in rush to complete the syllabus. There are two different kinds of exams internal and external. Internal conducted by the college were easy to pass but external exams were conducted by the university and quite difficult.

Students from 3 years' final sem can be eligible for placements but campus placements are not that many. There are only about a few companies which are good and the rest all companies which come are condition based and time-based work companies. The highest package ever a student got in our college is 12lakhs per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to go to other states or other countries and complete my master's.

The fees are not that affordable as they take 74000 per year and if got the seat from the conveyer quota, then we can get a 50% reduction in fees and additional scholarship benefits provided by the government.

There are very few fests conducted in college. Freshers day and annual are the only two fests conducted in a year and if possible dandiya fest will be conducted but in the case of farewell students must only conduct by collecting money which is not good. Only a week or two weeks of sports are conducted every year because no ground is available in college.
