Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I have always been interested in studying journalism and public speaking has been my centre of interest which could be enhanced with this course. The course curriculum unfolds with varied subjects every semester including both theoretical and practical subjects. There are different faculty members for each subject and have the matter expertise required to teach a particular subject skillfully. Specializations like print, advertising, and television journalism are also taken care of by different expert faculty members. Regular tests and evaluation exercises are also conducted from time to time in order to check the progress of students. In every class, there are average 35-40 students who are easily taken care of by one faculty in one period. Specialisation classes have lesser students therefore they are paid individual attention to.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good if proper attendance and attentiveness in class are maintained. If someone gets their hands on a good job while the period of the course, then it is good if not, the faculty members try that every child of their specialisation gets a decent job. I am pursuing my Masters's in Public Administration from Jamia Millia Islamia currently, preparing for competitive examinations along with it.
Fees and Financial Aid
In 2017, the course fee was Rs 3,00,000. I got a scholarship of Rs 30,000 so the total was 2,70,000. If you are consistent with your work and show good performance and sincerity in class, you can get your hands on an internship or a job with good stipend/remuneration within the first year itself.
Campus Life
There are various clubs in which one can participate- music, dance, quiz, community outreach clubs, etc. The camaraderie of the students on campus is really good. there is no trace of ragging. A good and friendly environment exists with amicable bonds with the faculty members as well. Annual Functions and teachers' day are celebrated every year with enthusiasm, vigour
