Admission in BHU in B.Sc

Admission used to be on basis of university entrance exam till last year. As per government guidelines from session 2022 , NTA will conduct common entrance exam for central universities and BHU is also included in this. Eligibility: For Maths group student must have maths in class 12, and have passed their boards examination. And for students seeking admission in biology group , biology must be their subject in class 12. Students can find application form on university website bhuonline.in . All the process regards admission is done through this portal. Reservation: University provides reservations to it's students as per Indian government rules. N

I wanted to pursue physics hons and BHU is one of the top university in our country. Its faculty includes very well educated, scholars and dedicated professor. Some of them are strict and some are student friendly, but each professor is very helpful, even they response to doubts sent on their whatsapp. Teaching techniques of professor depends on their subjects , for example theoretical subject like classical physics (higher) they go theoretically.And for others subjects like optics they elaborate with help of practicals. Along with theory classes practical classes related with same topics are conducted side by side . It helps student to understand the concept. Students can visit professor's cabin to resolve their doubts. Exams are conducted in November end and May end. Pre-covid exams were very timely but during and after covid , session is slightly delayed. Midsem exams are taken in oct and march. One can pass exam if he/she was attentive in classroom and had coverded syllabus

For graduation students there is no internship opportunities available by university. Neither for university students and outsiders. It is available for master's students. However students are free to do internship from other institutes.

Fee for 1st sem is 2850 and for rest semester it is only 325. I think it affordable for students having poor economical conditions. Exemption in fee is an option available for students having poor economical conditions. University didn't provide any jobs to its students. Students are free to opt for part time jobs in campus and anywhere.( 75% attendance is must).

In BHU the campus is it's X factor.The most beautiful and large campus covered with huge green trees and flowers. Each and every subject is taught here from iit,medical, law to visual arts. Each dept. has their own annual fest which is conducted in February 1st week. And winners team of each dept. Compete in fest of university. BHU has2 library one is central library and other is cyber library. Central library has lots of quality books and journals but in limited numbers. Classrooms are laced with modern technology like projectors, smart tv, mics etc. Classroom have proper lights and air ventilation. Cricket, football, volleyball and badminton tournaments are conducted very often . For boys students multiple big grounds and sports facilities. A lots of groups are run by students for students and poor childrens roaming in campus or outside it. It includes free teaching , food distributions, cloths and blankets distributions. University campus is safe for girls even in mid night.

Hostel rooms are well constructed , sunny and proper ventilation . You have to just pay 1150 rupees for 1 year.Rooms are 2 seater with 2beds, 2table-chair, 2cupboards. You have to clean your rooms by yourselves. Bathrooms are cleaned daily.And there are about 7/8 bathrooms and toilets on each floor. Hostel campus is also very clean and neat and covered with plants. For girls hostel 10.00pm is deadline for our entry. Meal is okay types not like homemade food just eatable. In 1sentence mess food is MESS. And 125 ruppes for 1day,4 times meal in a day. And you can take as much you want On the time of admission you have to opt whether you need hostel or not. After admission if your name is in hostel allotment list congratulations. Just go in the hostel mentioned in the list with your university document.After some office works you will get your room. A lots of pg are available in lanka and near bhu campus but they don't have facilities like university hostels. The basic rents starts from 6000.
