FMS ---- My Dreams Came True

FMS had a separate application form which was to be filled out to get a call if you are shortlisted. Eligibility included a graduation degree with more than 50 Percent marks and an age above 18 years. The application form could be downloaded from the FMS website (fms.edu). The admission process is quite streamlined and I don't see any changes required as such.

I took this course as FMS is one of the best B Schools in India. I realized my interest in management while I worked for 2 different companies after graduation. Faculty to student ratio is like 1:20. Faculties are very well qualified with a lot of them coming with loads of Industry Experience. Besides faculties follow a case study approach and a lot of teamwork is required while completing the assignments at hand. Exams were timely and well organized. If you are regular enough in the classes, you can easily get through the exams.

I did my internship at ICICI Bank. My stipend was 65000 PM for 2 months. I did projects related to retail banking where I needed to solve some core retail banking issues which the bank was facing then.

FMS has one of the best placements among all B schools across the world with the average package going around 30 Lakh Per Annum. It sees the participation of most of the big companies not excluding the startups. The highest package was 55 LPA. 100 Percent of the batch gets placed within the first 2-3 days of the Campus Placement program.

The fees while I completed my MBA back in 2018 were 20000 INR a year. Besides, we also contributed around 50000 a year to MSA. A lot of us used to live in the nearby flats and PGs in Kamla Nagar. I got placed at Sterlite Power on Campus at a CTC of 20 LPA. FMS is the most sought-after place for recruiters.

The classrooms were well equipped with modern teaching facilities. The library was well laden with business and other books. We had a basketball court on campus as well. We had an annual cultural fest.

My GD topic was " Change is Beautiful". FMS does not have its test. It selects people based on their CAT Score. The cutoff is around 99.4 Percentile for the General category. The Interview Questions included "Introduce Yourself", " Why MBA", "Why not IIM L or IIM C", Business Ethics, Killing Animals for Experimentation " etc. I read the daily news, followed business articles, and did mock interviews.
