Remarks
The relative marking criteria should be changed to standard. It is degrading the confidence of students.
Entrance Preview
i took the IIT JEE exam and i scored 9873 AIR. The main reason to join DTU was its fantastic placement record and infrastructure. My home is also just 5 Km away from DTU.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is really good . The syllabus is updated and you will get to know your sweet spot during the course for sure.Whatever u are going to learn , u are going to apply.you are going to get full opportunity for research and projects. The current trend is that the non-core soft branches, i.e. Computer Science, IT, Math & Computing (an underhand trick to increase intake in computing really, M & C requires highly specialised faculty and facilities which are currently not up to the mark) Software engineering are genrally okay.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunity is amazing in DTU. Most of the Big MNCs are going to visit the college for Internship like AMAZON,MICROSOFT,SAMSUNG etc. Stipend depend on respective companies.Sometimes it goes high as 50k for some companies. But overall its great.Students get experience of industries from 3rd year itself.
Placement Experience
Well, this is where the college come out with flying colors.Placement are fantastic. Most of the time its 100 percent for all the branches and even more than 100 for some branches like COE,IT. Computer and IT students get a whopping salary of around 6-7 lakhs per annum while core branch students get paid 5 lakhs per annum on an average. Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Birla are the standard recruiters during the placement season. Big and famous companies like Microsoft, Google, IBM also chip in during the placement week and offer a pay package of around 10-15 lakhs per annum. Rated as the best engineering college in Delhi after IIT, DTU has a record of 100% placements. Moreover, most of the students are offered multiple jobs and thus you’ve plethora of options to choose your domain after graduation. GREAT, isn’t it?
College Events
The cultural fest of DTU "Engifest" is considered to be best in north india. There are also technical and sports fests. The events well designed , well planned and well coordinated are not only are treat for participants but also the large crowd that comes to witness them , The star night and the EDM night , whole delhi talks about these two during those days , Bawana land is lit up completely because its THE ENGIFEST . Well talking about this the EDM artist DJ nucleya who needs no introduction is going to be part of ENGI .Besides this several informal events awaits you at the huge college campus , a land that will grip you and won’t let you go back . 2017 the ENGIFEST based on theme INFINITY promises you infinite fun and enjoyment . The three days will give a whole new level of amusement .

The Interest n charged after the fourth year when the graduation is complete. I have no knowledge about the scholarships but there are none as such. The only scholarship that have heard about is for SC/ST candidates provided by the government.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing and beautiful in DTU. There is so much to explore. Society Events happen frequently. The campus is as big as can be, and of late, pretty well maintained. Life is decent, there's a lot of fun stuff to do around and inside the campus, and everything is pretty chill. The student community is also very supportive and great to hang around with, as long as you can find your core group of like minded people, which isnt too hard to do, given the huge number of highly intellectual students out here. If you do come here, all the best. Make the best out of this, its still a great place to be at, and might actually be better than a lot of the other colleges in the country, because honestly, I only know the inside workings of DTU, and am not in a state to comment on whether other colleges are in a similar state. Cheers.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel buildings are well, hostel buildings. Only one hostel boasts of a power backup (though power cuts are very rare). They are modest, to say the least. The shared bathrooms can be a pain, especially in boys hostel where most people have no sense/regard for cleanliness and hygiene. A lot of rooms have seepage, peeling plasters and other such 'normal' problems Incidentally, the hostel authorities treat you like scum (most of the time) and the hostel administration think that hostel residents are supposed to be referred to as 'inmates' (technically an inmate is someone jailed at a well... prison, medical ward, etc.) The girls' residential quarters have a curfew time of 9PM while the boys' residential quarters have no such restrictions. All male students, however have to be inside the college premises by 11PM, officially. All hostels have an ethernet based internet connection which acts as any normal LAN. The college however acts as big brother and denies access to anything useful if it remotely violates the outdated sense of immoral modesty. So most sites like Youtube, social networks and even linux software portals are blocked (though any decent proxy would get around that). The speeds are decent and overall the network is good.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are really helpful. They can guide you whenever you want them to. They are supportive and very friendly.Never hesitate to ask anything from your seniors
Exam Structure
Exams occur twice a sem-Mid sems and End sems. It wont say its hectic but you r going to get busy. Right now there is relative grading which i dont thik is good and it should be changed because in this system your grade depends or others performance relative to you. Like if everyone else got 95 marks out 100 and you got 90 then you grade is going be much less than others.
Admission
Admission process is pretty simple. You just have to apply online after the result of JEE Mains,There are several rounds of admission process. In first round i got IT branch then in 2nd round i got COE.In first round all the high rankers are called and if seats still left other students are called in the consecutive rounds according to there ranks.
Faculty
I wont say that faculty is awesome but its good. There are some prof that are super amazing while there are some that are not good at all.Previously, the college was under the Delhi University board and hence had an amazing teaching staff. After getting the autonomous tag, DTU has hired some new teachers which are freshers and need enough experience. Having said that, most of the faculties are still the same and highly knowledgeable. Core branches like Electrical, Mechanical and Civil have a great set of professors who are thoroughly masters in their field. The faculty for Computers and IT are not that great compared to the core branches. Senior professors are highly experienced and very friendly. Most of the lectures are conducted in English.
