Remarks

BITSAT was the admission entrance exam for joining the BITS Pilani Goa campus. Cut off for the BITSAT exam was 280. No reservations are offered. During counseling, the course was allotted based on score and preference.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in learning this course. The faculty-student ratio was around 1 to 30. The faculty was some of India's best in terms of knowledge and teaching. We had exams every 2 months. The exams were of medium difficulty.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 1000000 per year

Internships Opportunities

All the major tech and engineering companies came to offer internships. It was allowed to bring the company on your own for internship. Projects were usually around entry-level jobs and job-related training.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements only in the last semester. Companies visited - around 100, and each company made 6-7 offers on average. Highest package ~30 lacs per annum. Average package 8 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike policy was 10% every year. The college availed it each year. I did not avail any scholarships or jobs on campus. Overall the experience was good. We have both merit-based and need cum merit-based scholarships.

Campus Life

The annual fest was WAVES. The library was very good with access to international journals and all the necessary books. Classrooms were well equipped with seating, lighting, blackboard, and teaching equipment.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good like averages of chemical is 12 lpa and there is good placement percentage ratio like 75 percent and if in case of no placements further study is possible option as bits have connection to many best institues in the world.

Students sit for placements in their final year, which is mostly the 4th or 5th year. Many companies visit the campus and make numerous offers, such as Microsoft, Google, and BCG. highest package was 61 lakhs while the average was 20 lakhs per annum.

BITS Pilani unfiltered: A deep dive into the campus.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to college placements from 7th semester More than 300 companies visit every year which include MNCs, startups, spread over all major domains like IT, Electronics, consulting, finance, core, product management etc The highest package varies every year but the average stands at around 18-20lpa. more than 90% of the students get placed every year. i plan to build my career in ET industry after my degree.

Bits Goa good or not

Placement Experience:

There is a dept for placements. 70 to 80 percent people get placed woth average package of 20 lakhs per annum. Mostly ot depends on interviews and how good internship you get in 3rd year. Cg plays a very imp role too.

Placement Experience:

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.

In my college NIT Goa, students are eligible for campus placements after sem 6 or the start of 7th sem till the end of the 8th semester The highest package is 44LPA and the average package is around 6LPA to 10LPA
