Remarks

Admission in GNLU is scored through the exam of CLAT. The candidates have to clear the required cut - off, after that they are able to score an admission in the University. The candidates belonging to the SC, ST or Gujarat Domicile categories are given a relaxation in cut-off.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose the course of B.A.LL.B (Hons.) due to my huge interest in political science and law. Talking about the faculty: student ratio, it is 1:5 in GNLU. Each faculty is highly skilled, experienced and qualified and are thereby eligible to teach in the premier law institute of the country. Each term has two assessments, one entails assignment submission and other is the end-semester examination. Both are of 50 marks each. Both, the assignments and exams are not very difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The University also has an internship cell that helps the students get internships. Companies , chambers and firms from all over the country hire GNLU students as interns. The tasks given to students are obviously law based as it is a law university. Whether or not stipend is given depends on the company or person who hires students for the internship. It also depends on the performance of students.

Placement Experience

4

Students after their 7th semester become eligible for placements. There are various companies and law firms such as Trilegal and Khaitan that hire students from the campus. Banks and chambers also hire students from the university. The average package is of 10 lacs per annum and atleast 70 percent of the students get placed through the campus recruitment. As if now I'm not sure if what to do after graduating but I'm trying to get a corporate job with a decent salary.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it happens is every NLU, GNLU requires a fortune to be paid for. The approximate fee for every year is around or more than 2 lacs, which varies every year. The fees can be paid in two installments. There are various scholarships that can be availed by eligible students. One of the most famous scholarships is the Aditya Birla Scholarship, which is availed to the brightest students kf every batch. Moreover, the University also allows students to opt for education loan. A financial assistance called as GLASS, which is GNLU Litigation Assistance and Support Scheme. This aid is given to the bright students of GNLU who opt for litigation after their graduation is done.

Campus Life

3

The University conducts an annual fest known as Pentagram in the month of March of every year. Coming to the library, it is well furnished and also avails remote log access to its students. Various databases and e journal are available to the students of GNLU through the library. The classrooms are well furnished and fully air-conditioned. GNLU is one of the best places if you are interested in sports. We have an active Sports Committee and a sports friendly campus. Cricket ground, football field, volleyball field, basketball court, table tennis, badminton court, there's nothing GNLU doesn't have when it comes to sports. However, the university lacks a swimming pool, which is the case in almost every NLU. The students have a body called as SAC, which mainly conducts all the activities in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The entire campus has wifi and the hostel rooms are pretty fine. Girls can get a single room on payment basis, whereas the boys don't have this option. Otherwise, girls have double and boys have either double or single occupancy in their hostels. The boys hostel has common washrooms whereas the girls have private washrooms. Housekeeping services are given to all the students. There's a laundry service on payment basis. The mess is common for both, boys and girls, and the food quality is fine. Hostel is compulsory for all students as GNLU has a residential campus.

So, as simple as it can get that over 50% students of our college are placed and not just the corporate houses but in dream litigations firlam like the Khaitan and the Induslaw as well.

Placement Experience:

At ILNU corporate placements are high rather than LAW firms as the college has a management college as well. So, placements are in large corporations like the Adani Enterprises, Reliance Industries, GSFC and others. At ILNU students getting 10-12 LPA is common but everyone doesn't have placements and therefore the averages drops to 7-8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The placements are promised for law, but it's better if you apply by yourself because Karnavati doesn't have much reputation when it comes to law placements. It is much better if you get the job on your own merits. Make sure you do internships every vacation and gain hands-on experience at multiple places.
