Remarks

College infrastructure:- Institute for excellence in higher education is one of the best colleges. Classrooms are quite organized (60 students per class can easily sit) with highly educated, polite, and supporting teachers. In my college,e all teachers are graduates from well-known institutes and also many of them have Ph.D. holders from IIT and NIT. Campus Life:- campus Life of GMIT college of engineering is the best. GMIT has an amaziclassroomsoom and there are 18 acres of campus. There are so many cultural events and sports held in college. Sports like indoor games and outdoor games. The college celebrates annual festivals like republic day, independence day, Gandhi Jayanti, etc. And also plantation, blood donation camps, seminars on various topics, and college fest, Every department best supplies various necessary books According to students' honors, reference books are available for each stream of students in the college library.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum overview:- I took this course keeping in mind my interest and passion and also seeing the previous year's performance of students of this college made my goal clear that I should pursue b-tech from GMIT. One faculty member is taking on for 55dents which is a good ratio as we get the interact a lot with our faculty and also it becomes a two-way conversation as we can ask our doubts easily and also they can clarify them. Here most of the teachers have done Ph.D. so their faculty is good which is more because everyone comes with a different way of teaching and which cause a different impact on different students and all seems to very easily understood and I guarantee it the facilities are of the different level they are very dedicated for their work. The exam time was very fixed it was like one unit completed and ca's are taken and all concepts get very clear.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost comes on the study are very low according to the Course Structure. Facilities are available for a student credit card. They provide us with proper guidance regarding education loans. SVMCM scholarship for general category students is available where we get 60k every year .. which helps us a lot as well as Jayashree scholarship only those who belong to sc, st and obc. And to be honest, there is no regular hike in the fee, we can say that the fee is hiked once in a decade or once in 5 years. When it comes to placements I must say that most of the students from CSE, and ECE get placed in TCS which is one of the mass recruiters of the university. Also, some other MNCs like fidelity international, cognizant, Bassetti, Amazon, Samsung, and other companies like Larsen & turbo visit the campus. Students when in the 7th semester are eligible to get themselves placed in MNCs that offer campus placements if a student is handy with some computer programming languages such as c,c++, java, and python.

Campus Life

5

An annual fest like tech fest, and cultural fest takes place in February celebrities, popular bands, and DJs come to this fest. There are many books in the library According to the interest of the students. More than 50,000 bookstores are available in the library. There are many competitions like poster making, slogan writing, drawing, Recitation, dancing, singing, and quiz, etc. The exams are held twice a semester ca exams conduct Every month and lab viva coins duct thrice during the session. Nice college having a good sports ground. There are various internship opportunities provided by the college. The CDC cell of my college is very strong. From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There are around 50 companies visited in the college. The maximum CTC was 12 lac/pa the and average CTC was 5 lacs/pa the previous year. 90% placements for CSE, and ECE students. There are around 50-60% placements in other departments.

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
