Remarks

College Management is good and future focused. I would be lying if I said they are cool and friendly but thats how a management needs to be. They are the rule makes are they do it for the benefit for all students which I appreciate.

Entrance Preview

I took CET Karnataka Common Entrance Test score is required for you to get admission. I honestly choose this as I was particular about Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and being close to Mysore and I did't get any Mechanical engineering seats in any of the Mysore's premier institutes which demanded higher CET rankings.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My father being a mechanical engineer and looking at the syllabus it gave an insight of the subjects throughout the semesters. Very interesting electives not just the usual expected once but also future technologies like hybrid powertrains,Two & Three wheelers etc.

Internships Opportunities

College does't really provide internships but yes would help you to get one as there are many professors and individuals with industrial contacts. I landed up with a project from Bosch in Bangalore during my final semesters.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is a strong placement cell and a very knowledgeable head for that who has a strong industrial contacts. Even during the recession times there were companies who did visit the campus. Otherwise too good industries visit the campus for recruitment.

College Events

3

PESCO event the most awaited and celebrated with at most energy automobile engineering department also conducts auto fair with car expo and dirt track races. I had taken part in organising one even in 2009. Many sports events are conducted round the year making use of the sprawling sports facilities in its campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is absolutely feasible as this college is funded by the government. Plenty of scholarships are also available for well deserved achievers. I have also heard about college supporting needful achievers too. The fees that is being paid is absolutely worth for what it has to offer.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm not sure of loans that college offer but Scholarships yes. Well deserved achievers in sports and academics are appreciated and recognised by offering scholarships. I have also heard about supporting real needy under privileged students too.

Campus Life

4.5

It is a huge and well secured campus with good proportion of the sexes. Boys and girls around the campus are felt safe Facilities such as sport complexes and labs are nothing to be asked at all as its one of the best in the state. Sufficient debates and personal training sessions are also conducted to improve students soft skills.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are hostels inside the campus and outside too. Staying in boys hostel I should say its not that great but its alright for any hostels standards. Facilities in hostel are decent and nothing to complain about too. Good Ambience and sufficient space as

Alumni/Alumna

They did start with one website recently but I have not seen any activity lately. Not sure if someone is maintaining it now or its just left to rust. I hope its actually taken up seriously and made use of it to the maximum.

Exam Structure

Well planned with internals scheduled periodically that you don't loose touch. Assignments are also given strategically so as to keep you in pace to the main semester examinations. Semester exams are also conducted in alternative days so that you have eno

Faculty

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
