Remarks

I got selected for a seat in JSS medical college through MCC counselling. Once you got the seat you have to visit the college in 5 days. So the admission process is quite complex. They ask for 10th, 12th certificate, birth certificate and NEET scorecard. Also you need Aadhar card passport size photo (at least 8) of you and your family or guardian. Then u have to get the bond certificate and pay the first year fees. For me all these admission process was taken place in food court. After that You have to go to the boys hostel for paying the hostel fees. Overall it was a tedious process but it went smooth because the official and the college authorities were helpful and cooperative.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is not easy. We have 19 subjects in 4.5 years and it's not easy. But the faculty members are very friendly and lovely in JSS. The reason I chose this course is because it was my passion. I'm a second year student and as far as i can in my first year mbbs there were 200 students and maybe we have 18 to 20 faculty members in each subject. Our faculty members were mostly associate professor, HOD, senior resident. They teaching is good and satisfactory they teach what important for us to remember and conceptual wise even difficult topics they make it easy to teach. We have 3 semester before our final university paper and the question paper is standard so that every student can pass. So it's great

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internships are extremely satisfying as the clinical rotations are very diverse with covering each department in extensive detail and hands on interactions with patients improves your clinical as well as communication skills with excellent guidance from the respective doctors and HODs (head of department) the internships also gives you the perfect timeline to absolutely confirm and choose your desired department to pursue for post graduation and also the patient flow is high and as an intern you would learn all the various and essential skills from diagnosis skills to proper communication and building a relationship with patient and also will give you the peep into the true medical world that awaits you and the monthly pay is satisfactory as well so overall the internships are extremely well structured and tailored for you to become a fantastic clinician.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for MBBS course is 75-78 lakh Rs. in JSS college. For first year it's 14.5 lakh Rs. and the hostel fees is 1.29 lakh per year. There are no scholarship schemes as of now but maybe they will plan it very soon

Campus Life

4

Life at campus is awesome in this we have medical college, dental college, JSS cooperative society food court a large field where you can play football, volleyball, cricket, basketball. In boys hostel there is indoor sports such as table tennis badminton court chess board. We have jssmc fest called tatvam which happens in April Asclepius event for students were to apply their medical skills into life projects models and collage is organised in October Also we have inter University international quiz competition usually conducted in August. Also the college library provide foreign as well as Indian author books which are recommended by our teachers. In classroom we have extra classes called AETCOM where ethics and etiquette is taught in doctor. We also have music club quiz club dance club reading club photography club for students to participate and present their talents in cultural events organized by JSS.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The registration process for hostel is not at all difficult. U have to pay 1.29lakh Rs per year including submitting your registration form your passport size photo (at least 8). We have different blocks block A, B, C, D, E. E block has common bathroom but it's 2bhk with proper cupboard study table proper internet connection whereas A and B block have attached bathroom. The mess food is satisfactory and its mixed of both south and north meals but its pure veg. No veg food

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
