Entrance Preview

I didi't opt for any entrance exam. I got admission on the basis of my undergraduate course result and i also gave the personal interview round.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does provide internship facility to all the students. Placement teachers and alumni give training to all the students. So many big companies came to our campus and offer a very good stipend but the stipend depends on the role given by the university and on the sincerity of the individuals.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, university does provide the hostel facility for all the students and so many other facilities are provided in the hostel like gym, separate beds are there food facility is also good.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Exam Structure

Exam structure of this university is hectic so many internals held and the teachers are very strict on the time of exams. University has so many labs like: Computer Lab is equipped with latest hardware and software with proper server room with powerful IBM servers running Windows, AIX and Linux Operating Systems with having installations of various Open Source programming languages , Oracle, Visual Studio , firewall, anti virus and content keeper installations.

Teachers are intelligent and good in nature some of them are very rude and strict but rest of them are nice. The Class Teachers and the Subject Teachers provide the students with Mentoring and Psychological Support and also provide the Students with Counseling when the situation demands for the same.

Likes

The teachers are very kind...well educated
The atmosphere in the campus is great...
The canteen menus are all fine and are according to our need

Dislikes

Some of the teachers are not that good..
The building is to old for us it's like it's almost going to fall or smt
The toilets are all old and not maintained

Less subjects compared to other course Im interested in IT field that's why I took mca It really prepares me for the real world application After one month prolly there will be internal and soon after that semester exam will be conducted

College at the heart of kuttanad

Likes

Academic structure is pretty good. Exams will be conducted earlier and the results will also be published at the earliest.
Value of the university is pretty good. Placement options are also comparatively better.
Classes are arranged daily and the teachers are always available there with all support

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that good. It's just average
The campus itself is said to be in a very rural area and so there a some drawbacks. Reaching the city area is a lil bit time consuming.
Internship option is not provided. Only project submission is allowed. But main campus (CUSAT) allows both the options.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good. Well reputed companies are offering Placement options. Cusat is providing a personal email to it's students and this even help us while applying for jobs and Placements. After covid pandamic placements become comparatively lower than before.

Nirmala College Muvattupuzha - A Good Campus

Likes

I liked that the college has a large campus situated on top of a hill with trees on both sides of the 500m long paved entrance. The college is nature friendly.
The college is a well known college in the district with 17 Undergraduate and 14 Postgraduate programs. The college has NAAC accreditation with a high CGPA score of 3.73, one of the highest in the state of Kerala.
The atmosphere is vibrant and friendly with a good balance in academics and extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

The college doesn't really encourage students in sports.
The college has a students union, but they are pretty much useless.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed MCA at Nirmala College due to several reasons: • It is a course which is open to anyone who has passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and above. The only prerequisite is that one need to attend the annual LBS MCA entrance examination to secure admission to this course. • The syllabus of MCA in this college is affiliated with that of MG University, Kottayam. It is a vast syllabus covering various applications of computer science including programming in various languages such as C, Java, PHP, Python, data structures, algorithms, statistics, data mining, machine learning, software engineering, networking, etc. • The course is theoretically good but practically it doesn't really equip all students with enough knowledge and understanding to be placed in a good IT company. Some portions could be excluded from various theory subjects such as Networking with TCp/Ip and Algorithms Analysis.

The Beginners college

Placement Experience:

As all other Professional colleges, they are offering placement support to get students placed in the top companies around Kerala. If a student is appearing 3rd sem or 4th sem they will automatically be considered for a placement chance. The top companies which recruit from this college are Technopark and TCS.therevare approximately 50 placements are currently made. Even they recruit people the salaries are low for a fresher, as they're below 25000 rupees. Currently, I am thinking about looking for a job in foreign countries after getting my degree completed.

I have actually 3 colleges in the list of confirmation. I choosed this because of the course. But the exposure and the building which also attracted me. It have a vast campus and very good atmosphere.The laboratories are air conditioned ,the classrooms are modern and have digitised.some of the college's I applied didn't have such facilities. I didn't get any rejection from any colleges.myself I choosed this college.
