My wonderful college experience

I chose this voirse as I've always had an interest to it since young age and when I heard that my dream college offered this course i rushed to book my seat here. The faculty teaches us very well and feeds us with information that is beyond our syllabus thus enhancing our over comprehension knowledge and skills. The teachers also involve other activities such as seminars and presentations which is to be prepared and presented by the students thius boosting our confidence. There are also field visits and add on courses to also enhance our knowledge beyond this course alone

I just completed my 10 days internship at a psychology clinic in Palarivattom which was a very good knowledge invoking experience. There are various internships opportunities offered by our college by the end of our second year. This definitely increases our knowledge and enhances our skills.

Our college offers various courses both undergraduate and postgraduate including BCOM ( finance taxation and computer applications ), BBA, BCA,BSC psychology and botony and biotechnology, MBA, MCA, IMCA, PGDM and so on. The annual fee structure is 70000 per year that is 35000 per semester which is comparatively very affordable to the quality of education we get in here. An amount of 10000 is to be paid at the beginning of our course which will be returned to us by the time we'll leave unless we cause any damage to the college property. Various other fees like lab fees and other fees keeps changing per semester but is always under 2000. In addition to this add on courses are also offered in the college that is 6000 per semester. These classes are very fun and interesting which boosts our knowledge. there are many scholarships offered here out of which the best one is the merit quota here the students in this quota will only have to pay 50000 per year that is 25000 per semester

The annual undergraduate fest is called aroha and is usually in the month of January and the annual postgraduate fest is called the sikhar and is usually in the month of February. There are about three libraries offered in the campus filled with both educational books about our courses and also entertaining books like fictions novels and comics. They also provide the daily newspapers magazines and brochures. There are also various sports and other health promoting activities provided in our college. There is an annual intra sports fest conducted every year in which students from different courses compete with each other and win prizes. There are various clubs within the different departments carried out and led by the students who then conduct various programmmes to the students of the other departments

There is a hostel for the ladies provided within the campus included with mess or canteens which provides amazing food to be very honest and if in case we are unhappy with the menu, every three month a mess meeting is conducted in which we can bring out our suggestions and change the menu if needed. We have a curfew in the hostel where the students have enter the main gate by 8 pm and the hostel gate by 8:30 after dinner. The hostel opens up at 6 in the morning. Gym is also provided within the campus. The timing for ladies is from morning 6-9 and for boys 3-6 evening. The hostel fees per annum for ac room is 42000 and for non ac rooms is 30000 which is definitely worth the price. There is also a boys hostel outside the campus premises which is very nearby with the same facilities

When I heard that this college offer the course BSC in psychology I looked no where else and just applied here. I never looked for any other colleges to be very honest. This college was my first choice and I got it in here so I just jumped right into here. The eligability for management seats here is 75% and above in 12 boards and for merit seat 85-90% and above

My favourite aspect of this college is the faculties that's for sure . Our well educated professors having done their master and most of them having their phd is of a great help to us encouraging us to come out of our little bubble of comfort with confidence and face the real world. Per semester we have 3 examinations conducted of which two are internal and the third on is external. The internals and models are prepared by our faculty and are of 40 and 80 marks respectively. The external examination is conducted but the mg university and is of 80 marks. The although the exams might be bit difficult it is made way to us because of the amount of revision provided by our wonderful faculty helping us to score amazingly
