Course Curriculum Overview

As of all faculties are good. They are well qualified. Exams are conducted timely and Administration is very strict towards academics. Exams are of moderate level neither too easy nor too hard. You can score well easily if you are consistent.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

If you are civil it's definite that if you are in the top 40 in the batch you will get a sure internship in that. Companies come it's based on your skill. College allows you to do internships from anywhere just you have to submit the certificate.

Placement Experience

As I am in the first year I don't have much idea about it. But core placements are the same as you will get in nits. In core, approx 10 companies come but it company come in large number (excluding few which are only meant for circuital)

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite high. It's approximately 16 lakh including hostel and mess for 4 years B.Tech course. There are many scholarships based on income, reservation, govt, etc. You can check it on the official site of bit Mesra.

Campus Life

The campus is very large with 780 acres of land full of greenery. The campus is well maintained and the hostels are very good. You will enjoy the campus life fully. The sports complex is very huge if you are a sportsperson you will enjoy it fully. The classrooms too are very beautiful.

Hostel Facilities

Mess is very good comparing it with other colleges. You will get food 4 times a day(3 meals, 1 snack). Food is good and it is not much different from the food you get at your house. The hostel is very large you will enjoy it fully. Each hostel has one badminton and one volleyball court.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
