Remarks

I gave JEE Mains and received my seat in the college through the state quota. I am an OBC candidate. I received the application form online with 2500 application fees. I don't need any improvement in the application process as I could do the process very easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course as it was in my interest. The faculty-student ratio is good. All the faculty members are very well educated and qualified. Their teaching method could not have been better. If a student is well prepared for the exams, they are easy to pass. Every module ends with a quiz which is very helpful for end sems as well.

Class Size: 138Course Fees: INR 1300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The companies that I have heard of coming to our campus are Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, tata etc. With an average stipend of 40000/- per month. Internships also occur in the 2nd year of students from google which is very prestigious.

Placement Experience

The students are eligible from the 5-6th semester for sitting in placement. My plan after taking the degree is to do master's. As after getting out from such a reputed college my chances of getting more higher studies in a better place is assured.

Fees and Financial Aid

One can say that the fees are much more than expected. And is quite unaffordable but after everything, it pays back. I took a scholarship of e Kalyan by the government but haven't received anything yet.

Campus Life

The annual fest is BITOTSAV and PANTHEON. They are conducted around January and February. All sports and extracurricular activities are well taken care of. I am in Fine Arts Society club on the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is great with great mess. All the care takers are very supportive and helpful. I live in the campus hostel which isn't far away from the college. Hostel is surrounded by parks and gardens. With mesmerizing view all around.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
