Remarks

I took admission through CET in Mechanical department at JNNCE Shimoga. All Admission process was very smooth from the college side after the CET Counselling. Even College other fees were also are affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Mechanical Department was one of the oldest department in the college with Faculty member's are mostly PHD holders, having industrial experiences. They have very good teaching methodology both theory & Practical's.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience

TCS - 100 Offers, HCL - 50 Offers, Highest Package - 600000, Average Package - 450000. Almost 40% of students were placed in the above mentioned companies. I had joined to MBA after my degree. i was preparing for it

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admission through CET Counselling and Fees structure were fixed by the govt. it was 52000 per year and i have availed the transportation services the fees for it was 16000 for 4 years. apart from these fees, there were no extra charges.

Campus Life

We had 2 fest in the college, one departmental fest and other general fest. both were very good. Library was very good. it used to open 24 Hrs. during the exam time. Class rooms were of too good. We had a very good cricket ground.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not really that great. they were only service based companies mostly or for sales profile. as an Electronics and communication engineer I was completely disppointment. Placements support was also not that great. Placements only offered starting from the 7th sem.

My Malnad experience!

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply in their final year, the companies were TCS, BEL, Wipro etc. The average package was between 4-5lakks LPA and the highest was 12lakh LPA. There was a chance of 60%placements and one has to prepare for the entrance tests to clear them if they wished to get placed. The placements could be improvised.

Lower tier Engineering colleges

I had no idea about engineering , I scored very less in KCET surprisingly . I had no one for advice and people made it so obvious that engneering is the standard of education . I did not seek proper guidance and was mislead by admission sector people referring to Electronics as both software and hardware demanding sector and there is scope to grow . But in reality very less requirement ratio of electronics students exists. JNNCE was told to be better than any other engineering college near me due to it's longevity.
