Remarks

The admission process was easy, I took the admission completely online mode and it was hassle-free. The eligibility for the CSE course is pretty low and that's one thing great about chitkara. Placements are average, 6-7 Lpa and internship opportunities are also provided.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and faculty members are decent. They help you in clearing your doubts and are knowledgeable in their own respective fields. They are young, and well-educated and most of them are quite lenient towards the students.

Placement Experience

From what I've heard from my seniors, placements are average i.e 6-7 LPA. The highest package was offered by companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon etc. Mass recruiting companies like Wipro, and TCS also come to hire.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for CSE BE is 82k per semester. The hostel fee is around 40k per semester with up to three people and an AC room. Financial assistance is provided to those that belong to the BPL or EWS category or the SC/ST category.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is quite chill and pretty much like all other colleges out there. It's fun, you meet a lot of people, and you hang out with them. Also like any other college, there are multiple groups and clubs of every field/genre that you can be a part of.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are decent too for the price at which they come. Plenty of space, no bunk beds everyone has his own bed. The sheets and blankets are also provided by the hostel which is quite a nice thing, even though you can bring your own. Buying a PG would be much costlier than taking the hostel.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
