Remarks

The eligibility for admission is a minimum of 60 percent in board exams class xii or a minimum 60 percentile in jee mains. I filled out the application form online from the official website of chikara university. The admission process for the B.E. case was overall easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is by industry requirements. We were taught python and web development in 1st semester, advanced frontend web development,c++ and operating system with Linux in 2 nd semester. The best thing about the curriculum here is we are not taught subjects that have no relationship with computer science engineering. We have free access to coding ninjas courses. The faculty of chikara is average.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 154000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided to students on campus after 4 the semester. Some of the companies which visit for internships are amazon, Infosys, and jp morgan. Projects related to academics have a high weightage for the internship process.

are also provided for 4 the semester students. Some of the companies which recruit from chikara university are IBM, Infosys, Amazon, TCS, sap labs, Oyo, ola, TCS, etc. It has a 90 percent placement rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of chikara are quite low as compared to other private universities in the country. Fees of B.E. C.S.E at chikara university are 85000 per semester and ERP fees of 20000 as of 2022. There are no scholarships provided by chikara university.

Campus Life

D.J nights are organized once a month on the campus for the hostellers. Freshers party for 2021 batch organized on 28 April 2022. All the books and journals of renowned authors are available in the library. There is a special area dedicated to sports on the campus. There are basketball courts, a cricket group, badminton court available on the campus. There are many clubs and societies run by students like a geek for geeks society, code chef, IEEE, and c2s2.

Hostel Facilities

We were given 4 seater non ac room in first year. However in 2nd and 3rd yr we are provided with choice in 1,2,3 or 4 seater and ac or non ac. The meal quality at chitkara university is quite average. We are provided 4 meals i.e. breakfast,lunch, snacks(evening) and dinner. Sweet dish is provided woth dinner. The registration process of hostel is done 1-2 days prior to your commencement of new session. Fees is paid through chalkpad(official website of chitkara university)

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
