St Joseph’s College

There was no entrance exam for my course but an online interview on google meet was conducted. The application form can be found on the college website. The application fee was Rs 600. The eligibility is that the candidate should have finished their pre-university. The application forms have opened from April 2022 for the year 2022-23.

I want to pursue marine biology for my master's and that's why I took BSc in zoology. The faculty members have a welcoming nature. They are happily willing to solve our doubts and give us good and interactive lectures. The teachers go according to the syllabus covering everything in an orderly fashion. For the first sem, the mid-semester exam was 3 months after college had begun and the end sem was 2 months after that. The papers were a little difficult for me but easy if you're well prepared.

Internships are provided on the campus, but they're rather low in number. The stipend range from Rs 3000-5000 .an experience letter should also be submitted. even though there aren't many internship options inside the college, students gain experience from different projects and tasks throughout the course.

All 3rd-year undergraduate students can apply for campus placements. students have been placed at Wipro, Infosys, HSBC, Tata teleservices, Convergys, transgene, ADP, Apollo Health Street, and many more. Around 50-60% of students get placements.6 lakhs is the highest and 3 lakhs is the average. I plan to take a masters in marine biology.

My 1st sem fees were 65000. Scholarships and financial assistance are provided under the eligibility category. I didn't get in with any scholarships nor do I have a job on campus with a stipend. It is affordable.

Pratibha college fest was conducted in April and it allowed many students to showcase their talents in a variety of different events. The library is known to be the highlight of SJC with a wonderful collection of books. The classrooms are big and airy. There is a chalkboard, smart class, big benches, and windows. There are several sports and extracurriculars, and associations. The open heart is a student-run social group created as an initiative for a good cause. Everything is student-run but teachers guide us through it.
