Remarks

I have been selected by jee advanced. my rank was 10000 air. I have got selected for computer science which was my first preference. once you get admitted, the application process is smooth. we have to come to college and fill out some forms and you are admitted in.

Course Curriculum Overview

when I joined, the dept was pretty new. but now it has become good. it's mainly concentrated on electrical but the Professor in computer science is proof too. all the professors are PhD grads from top universities like iisc. the exam difficulty-totally depends on the professor. since it's a govt university, there is a lot of flexibility in hands of professors to conduct the exam as they wish

Placement Experience

this is a research institute. most of the ppl are interested in Perceiving PhD after BSMS. Because the computer science department is introduced recently The college placement Ella calling a few companies which are paying around eight to ten8 to 10 lakhs per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is really low compared to other central universities. it is around forty thousand for students with no reservation. if you are sc or st, it's ten thousand rupees only. you can get scholarships if you are eligible for them.

Campus Life

everyone would love the campus life. since it's a fairly new university, the hostels are neat. there are various sports activities near the hostels. the library is really big and has so many books in it.

Hostel Facilities

the meals are really bad. in the beginning, everyone would love the food but eventually, it food gets worse. the no of ppl in a room are two. the registration for hostel also happens in the beginning only so it's hassle free

A brief review of IISER Bhopal

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is very research driven, and it is very flexible too. Course is as per the New Education Policy and is relevant to modern industrial needs. However the Curriculum is all around Pure Sciences, like the B.Sc but just the college is much better than a normal BSc college. First two year is given to students to get along with subjects that they want to study in future, in the third year they choose their Majors. Quizzes are frequent and occurs biweekly, while Exams occurs every month and so.

IISER BHOPAL : A HOME FOR MANY

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum trains students in various research fields, including lab and theory. The course prepares a student to get either a industry position, or PhD position. The course curriculum can be improved by porividing more exposure to students who havent experienced, these fields. Exams are good, easy if youve understood the course content. These exams are based on a wide information of the topic, and are not limited to just one textbook.

My thoughts on IISERB

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am just in my first year right now, the courses I have are fairly introductory. But since we have to study PCMB, Earth Science, Programming and a Humanities course just in the first year, it's fairly hard to manage. we have 2 quizzes, a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in each semester typically at the end of each consecutive month (4 month semester). The marking scheme, syllabus, paper pattern, time, difficulty etc are all subject to change according to the professor.

Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

Knowing IISERB engineering sciences

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 8th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements and getting preplacement offers in their applied companies. Companies like nomura Bank ,Barclays and Dr Reddy's lab have visited the campus in the past. Mostly all the students get placed because less number of student sitting for the placements. According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.
