Admission process:- Admission is done in online mode, you have to first apply on the official website of Chitkara University, then you have to fill out the required form then you will get a call and an email for payment to confirm your seat in the required branch. You can find the application form at www.chitkara.edu.in

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Btech due to following reasons: a) Btech is in boom nowadays, Mant future opportunities in this field as well as a good amount of money. Faculty: student ration is around 1:70. Many faculties are Ph.D. qualified or pursuing Phd. Exams were taken on regular basis and it is moderate to pass.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 164000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Honestly, I don't know about the internship for now, but I think if A student worked hard he will grab the internship here, college provides internship as well. I think stipends vary around 20-60K. In projects you can make using web dev, there is very much scope for the web developer.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement from the 5th -to 6th semester. As this is a tier 3 private college, Many mass recruiter Companies visit here but some good companies also visit like adobe, Amazon, and Microsoft. The highest package is around 30 lac and the average package is around 4-5 lac. 60-70% of eligible students get placed here.

Fees and Financial Aid

For Fees I will say it is decent, your four years fees including everything goes around 12-13 lacs. Hostel fees annually increase by 5000. And the average package of college is around 4-5 lacs. If you will do great and focus on your studies then you might grab the good package.

Campus Life

I don't know about the annual fest for now because I am a 1st-year student here. In the library decent amount of books there. In sports college is good there is 1 cricket ground, 2 football ground, 2 basketball ground, 2 volleyball ground, 1 tennis ground, and 1 ice hockey ground. Also, there are all types of indoor games available like there is 4-5 indoor badminton court available. There are some good clubs available but there is not that much exposure for clubs.

Hostel Facilities

First, all types of facilities are provided, I will say the Hostel of this college is very good, Daily washroom cleaning and rooms cleaning is there. Food is also good and very affordable as well like 14500 for a semester. The registration process is also very easy, and Hostels are affordable as well.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
