MH CET. I got into the institute with a minortiy quota for Catholics. I had a score of 87/200. General quota cut off was around 110-120 for IT. Although it is much higher for mech and extc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being affiliated to Mumbai University. Curriculum was similar to most of the other institutes in the city. All electives are available, but are taken into consideration only if more than 10 students opt for a particular subject .
Internships Opportunities
Not much options for internship.A company from Japan had come and offered the most to two of my friends though. Being in Mumbai, its always easy to find a internship on your own. Stipend varies from companies to companies .
Placement Experience
Placements is pretty good. Top IT companies like TCS, Infosys, LNT, tech mahindra, syntel, etc do come and if you are good at aptitude 100% chances of getting job. However mech doesn't get as much options as IT and Comps. Although, taj comes year in year out for mech .
College Events
Festivals was always fun a college with two huge grounds(one grass and other one tar) and a basket ball court and a hall has all the ingredients to host a intercollege fests. However, it wasn't allowed back then. But it really didn't matter cause we had 5 Other institutes ranging from BMM to mms with whom we could celebrate them. Recent rumours suggest intercollege events are returning. (Best place for football) .
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible, if you consider the amenities provided and plus it is right in the heart of Mumbai which makes it easy to travel to for students. The college is air conditioned mostly and has a huge ground, which is accessible to students and a decent hall all of which culminates into fees .
Fees and Financial Aid
State government offers scholarship for low income groups which the college facilitates . There are other scholarships you can apply for at college but its not for all .
Campus Life
Name it and you have it. DBIT has one of the best extracurricular facilities when it comes to Engineering colleges in Mumbai talents are recognized more.
Alumni/Alumna
No network as such but you will always find them during college fests senior students are always treated well when they return for any work back to college. It would be better is a alumni network is set up .
Faculty
Faculty are good in terms of communication. Inexperienced when we were around. But now after few years of experience they are good as heard from the juniors. Professors are really helpful when it comes to projects.
