Remarks

Your 12th marks and jee mains percentile are taken into consideration however they hardly affect your admission to the university. The application fees and all the admission related queries can be solved by visiting the chikara university's official website. The admission process was fairly smooth. Chitkara University is a private college so all you need is money basically.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in computer science itself as I am very much intrigued by the IT sector and the boos it has had in the past years. The faculty is nice and have completed their doctorates and are very helpful. Every faculty member has his or her own teaching method which is helpful in each way, Exams are taken every month basically so you cannot study and the difficulty level is moderate to high.

Internships Opportunities

There are some internships offered by the companies that come for placements with stipends ranging from 15k-20k pm. The projects offered vary from company to company. Basically depends on the package you're gonna get.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible from the 6th semester to sit for placements. A lot of companies like google, amazon, ibn, Infosys, and Wipro nets come to the campus. The highest package offered was 1.1 cr CTC recently and the lowest is 4-5 LPA I believe. My plans after getting the degree are to get a good placement and work as much as I can.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is 82000 per semester for the computer science course, which is not less. There is no scholarship that I am aware of that college provides. In terms of fees, there should be a drop as a lot of students here are studying on education loans.

Campus Life

There are many facilities provided on the campus. Each lecture hall has air conditioning. There are a lot of sports like basketball, volleyball, swimming, snooker, badminton etc to play. The library is stacked with a lot of good books. There are a lot of cultural clubs as well as other clubs in the university.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
