Remarks

College is average it lacks exposure but one can make the best out of the limited opportunities available.

Entrance Preview

I appeared in MPPET secured 1100 rank to get a seat in civil but the competetion has increased manifold, and demand for the branch has also increased.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curiculam was good a couple of important topics were left out still better than other colleges in the state practical exposure was limited to few courses only.

Internships Opportunities

College was seriously lacking in this regard there was no industry interface summer trainings has be to arranged by students on their own stipend is rarely paid to ug students.

Placement Experience

Placements are average one can not expect a fat salary but can certainly rely on college for employment not many core comapnies turn up software and it companies are major recruiters i got placed in LnT.

There is not much to about any of the college event specially tech fest is something which seems to be the least important event for college admin same goes for cult event.

Fee structure back in 2010 was affordable 30000 per year but it has been enhanced now the fee is taken per semester it is still better than other private colleges.

Some scholarships are there for sc st students apart from that no major scholorship is available some nri quota is there for admitting nri students.

Hostel capacity is less than the intake of students hostel is not at par with the other good colleges messing is also average charges against both are reasonable.

Alumini network is very weak but one can find alumini in every field of industry college is 60 years old so the alumns are placed very high ups in the industry.

College is autonomous takes its own exam follow its own curriculum labs are chilled out exams are also the same gaps are there between exams prep leave was also given.

Faculty is excellent in the department over 14 phds sometimes few faculty seems to be unintrested, but than onus is on the batch to extract the best out of them.

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
