Remarks

There should be transparency about everything like swimming pool is only for marine navy not for others and girls hostel doesn't have any tuck shop or personal gym neither common room as we were shown

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I want to become engineer. Some of the faculty members are good but some are not . Teaching method is little difficult in some of the subjects . After every 2 or 3 weeks there are exams

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 164000 per year

Placement Experience

For 6 semesters I will be eligible for placements. I haven't yet visited any of the companies and no offers are made. There is a 1 per cent chance of students to be placed for higher packages like 1 cr but most companies are giving 8 to 10 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are high but placement is not according to that. So they should improve facilities and much more. And also there are school subjects which are of no use so they can be removed and college timings should be decreased.

Campus Life

There are many clubs like iei, bits and bytes, dance clubs, singing clubs, c2s2 club, ACM club etc and one can find them on social networking sites like Instagram, Facebook, telegram etc, and these clubs are run by students of Chitkara University

Hostel Facilities

There are 4 5 hostels of girls in which Ibn mess food is soo poor. I have complained to warden mam but still, they didn't take any action about it. And also there is soo tight security that even parents are also facing problems. wardens are not good, especially of ibn hostel

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement. No, i didn't get a rejection from other colleges but i choose this because transportation is easy in this as compared to other colleges.
