One needs to take jee main entrance exam for taking admission to NSUT. Joint Admission Counselling(JAC Delhi) is done after the exam and seats are allotted to students on the basis of their jee mains ranks.

Faculty members are well-qualified to teach their respective subjects. In each semester a student needs to give mid-sem as well as end-sem exams. For clearing a particular subject, each student needs to secure passing marks in end-sem along with passing collectively in a subject.

Amongst the companies visiting the college, most of the companies offer internship opportunities for software profiles. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, sprinklr, google, etc come for hiring interns. The stipend offered depends on company to company.

The companies coming into college offer placements to students studying in the fourth year and internship opportunities for those in the third year. The companies visit the campus for a variety of roles ranging from tech to non-tech to core profiles.

The fees are constantly increasing and are comparatively high as compared to other government institutions but the course fee is still pretty affordable and students can take a loan and also apply for scholarships. There are multiple scholarships available to students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds provided by the central as well as Delhi governments.

Moksha is the annual cultural fest and Innovision is the annual tech fest of NSUT. Classrooms are well equipped with air conditioners, smart boards, CCTV. There are a lot of active societies in the college ranging from cultural to literary to tech societies.

The hostel is given on the basis of the distance of the residential address from the college. For boys, there is an option to choose between single, double, and triple sharing while for girls the rooms are given only on a triple sharing basis.
