If you have passed class 12th in PCM from any recognised board in India with a minimum of 75 % then you are eligible for B.Tech CSE. JEE MAINS is optional. University releases its own application form on its official site igu.ac.in. The application form charges Rs. 1000. You keep checking the official website of the university for the date of application form approximately the month of October. Seats are also reserved for different category candidates. The university releases the merit list thrice and if the seat still remains vacant, then offline counselling takes place.

The faculties of B.Tech Computer Science are very experienced and good. The nature of the Faculty is also very helpful and Polite. Every year is divided into 2 semesters and every semester consists of twice the sessional exam and once the final semester exam. Sessional exams are easy and there is no need to study the complete syllabus but to clear the semester exam you have to study the complete syllabus.

Although the placement in the university is less, every year the university is definitely improving this work. The average placement package of the university is 3 lakhs per annum. The placement ratio of the university is 50% but it is increasing every year. If you do not get the campus placement then there is nothing to panic about. If you have the skill then you can take off-campus placements.

The fee for the B.Tech Computer Science course per semester is 26530. This means the fee for one year is 53060. The scholarship is available for SC and ST category students in which their full fee is refunded. The university also provides scholarships for OBC category students, which are given scholarships on the basis of their 12th percentile.

The university organizes competitions and fests from time to time. There is a large library inside the university. From that library, you can also get free off cost book issue for 15 days, every 15 days you will have to renew your book or else you will be charged a fine of Rs.1 per book per day. The university also has a huge playground in which almost all sports are available. Facilities like Youth Red Cross and NSS are also available at the university.
