Computer Science and Engineering is the flagship course of our college. NIT Jamshedpur has a very good coding culture. College admission is available online. After clearing the GATE I immediately applied for the college and appeared in COAP counselling and secured my seat for CSE program. As I was interested in Computer Science and Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of our college is well integrated and very nicely designed. The curriculum gives us proper knowledge of coding and the coding culture of our college is also very good. The faculty of our college are masters in coding techniques and they provide us with some helpful tips and insights to remember the complicated codes. The faculty of our college is what I feel were highly talented and well experienced in the teaching methods.
Internships Opportunities
The internship program of the college is very well organised we have to complete the internship and we are only eligible if we have completed 90% class attendance in the first year of our program. The internship was paid and the stipends start from 30000 to 1.50 lakh.
Placement Experience
The college placement programs are very well organised and managed. The faculty of the college during the placement work as the motivational force for us and due to their guideline and motivations we are able to secure very good packages offers. The college reaches a record of 90% placement. The highest salary offer of our college was around 40 LPA and the average salary offer was around 12.50 LPA. The college invites market leaders for the placement rounds.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees are not so high in comparison to the competition but still, our college offers several scholarship schemes that one can avail of. Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand Scholarship, Foundation for Academic excellence and access Scholarship, Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir, National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation Scholarship, NTPC scholarship for engineering, Scholarship of ONGC Limited, Dehradun, etc are the names of few scholarships schemes that our college offers.
Campus Life
The campus life of our college is full of fun and enjoyment. Our college also organises fests like Ojass is the tech fest of our college, Urjaa is the sports fest and Cultfest is the annual fest. Our college library is the main attraction point as there are over 60000 books and many international journals and magazines are also available in our college library. Every department has their own lab mean there are different kinds of labs with all the latest modern equipment.
Hostel Facilities
Our college has a total of 13 hostels of which 9 are boys and 4 are girls hostels. The rooms are fully furnished and properly designed. The hostel management is very active and makes sure that no ragging is conducted. The hostel food is good. The hostel has facilities like WiFi for internet connectivity, 24 hours of power and water supply, common rooms with LCD TV and many more.
