Remarks

Dharmashastra National Law University(DNLU), Madhya Pradesh was established in 2018 and it is part of NLU 23 colleges. I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer and Dharmashastra National Law University(DNLU), Madhya Pradesh is the best place to pursue the dream. To take admission in the college I have to clear the CLAT test and the form for the CLAT test was available through the college website. After clearing the CLAT I have to appear for GD and PI round. The minimum qualification for the course was 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of the college is very interactive. The curriculum helps us to understand the legal theories and technicality with the blend of arts subjects. The vice-chancellor of the college is also very good and inspiring. The faculty of the college is high;y experienced. From time to time we are also provided with the guest lecture from the industry pioneers. The faculty are cooperative and helpful. They help us to understand complicated technical terms in an easy way.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college is new till now there is no internship program but our faculty have told us that there will be an internship program next year i.e 2023 so we can take part in the college internship program next year.

Placement Experience

4

The college is in its starting phase so no batch has passed out from the college. The college has established its Training and Placement cell and I am sure that we are gonna rock in the college placement round as the teaching standard of the college are quite high plus few of our teachers have very good experience of the corporate world so with the help of our faculties we are gonna achieve good placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the moment the college does not have any scholarship schemes but the college 50% seats are reserved for MP and 5% relaxation in 10+2 marks is given to SC/ST. category.

Campus Life

4

The college campus is under construction. The campus is constructed in over 120 acres of land and after the construction of Dharmashastra National Law University(DNLU), Madhya Pradesh will become the largest NLU in India. Currently, the campus is operating from Bharat Ratna Bhim Rao Ambedkar Institute of Telcom Training (BRBRAITT). College life is very good. The college library has many books related to law and many international law books are also available in the college library. The college canteen is very neat and clean and proper hygiene is maintained. The Moot courtroom is very nicely maintained and we get regular opportunities for practice. Everyone in the college is very friendly. And the faculty are highly professional.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are available for double sharing. The hostel is very well maintained. The hostel provides a separate study room that is open 24 hours. The hot water power supply is 24 hours available. The hostel bathrooms are very nicely cleaned. The hostel has mess food is also good and proper hygiene is maintained. The common room has an LCD TV facility.

Interview Experience

4

The GD round is tested for us whether we are able to express our views or not and in the PI round our presence of mind, and listening ability is judged. Before appearing in the PI round one must have the basic knowledge of laws and their importance in the constitutional. The PI round questions are simple and easy.

Placement Experience:

Only the law chambers advocates and Bhopal High Court top lawyers are the ones who provide us Internships as well as jobs. Most students have secured pre placement offer from them and that is how the placements of JLU School of Law are. Good to see that placements in recent past have increased and now law students are offered 40-50k starting salary offers.

I want to pursue LLM and that is my plan and also to ensure that I get it NLSIU or NLU Delhi. Our university placements are good but for law as for us there are hardly any placements. From our department only 20-30% students get placed as of now but hopefully this will be better in years to come.

Some corporate which are anyways at the campus for hiring students of other streams like the TCS, HUL, Nestle and others are the one who offers us corporate law opportunity with their organization. Initially the lawyers are the least paid employees and therefore placements aren't as significant.

It's mostly the law firms as corporate houses have so far have drench coming to our campus. The reasons are obvious as just three batches have been passed out from her so far and unless a strong alumni network is formed it is impossible to get great placements from our campus.
