Remarks

Those who are interested to study well during their college life, this is the place for it. Some times you may feel there is a lack of freedom, but it is all for your future it is a good career formation centre. I have no doubt about that the campus is quite beautiful and infrastructure is also very nice.

Entrance Preview

I wrote Kerala Entrance Examination and I got a rank of 47234. VJEC is a reputed college and I like the campus very well. That's why I chose the college. I had a strong passion about the electrical engineering. So opted the branch of electrical and electronics engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was quite good. There was a mini project and a main project which made us to innovate something new. My electives was biomedical engineering.

Internships Opportunities

There were not that much opportunities for an internship even though a few companies like CTS and TCS came to our college and conducted certain workshops.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and job opportunities were better for the last few years since a few well reputed companies like Sun network and South Indian Bank came to our college for placement. And few students were placed in the companies like TCS and UST Global through the off campus interviews from my college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In the year of 2010-14, the fee structure was as follows. Rs.110000/-,Caution deposit +75000/- tuition fee per year. It was not that much expensive while comparing to other self financing colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is offering the loan facility for the students. And the management offers scholarships for the students those who were getting a rank below 10000/- in the Kerala Entrance Examination.

Campus Life

5

There were a great opportunity for the students those who are interested in robotics since we got a robotics lab. We got certain faculties like Mr.Sunil Paul, who is well qualified in robotics. I think there isn't any kind of inequality between boys and girls. The gender ratio is almost 1:1. We will be conducting hostel day celebrations every year and inter batch competitions in sports was also there. Politics is not allowed inside the campus. We have associations like SAE,IEEE,NSS etc. which are quite active inside and outside the campus. Students from all the religions are studying in the college. Middle class students usually opt this college.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facilities and mess food was awesome. No words to say about it. We had two buildings for B. Tech students which are four storey buildings and a seven storey building for PG students and a separate building for faculties. The buildings were well furnished, neat and clean. The hostel mess food was another factor which made me feel comfortable in the campus. We used to get non veg food six days in a week, out of which two days we will get biriyani. The hostel rent was Rs.1000/- per month and mess fees was Rs.2000/- per month approximately. I will rate the hostel and mess food with a rating of 4 out of 5.

Alumni/Alumna

I had a very good relationship with the seniors who are the back bone of the college we got a well defined alumni association. They are conducting gathering of pass out students every year the alumni network is still growing.

Exam Structure

In my college we had 3 internal exams for each semester theory subjects and a model exam for the practical. It was not hectic for me i had enjoyed the course period very well just chilled out.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties that we got were quite awesome why I am saying is that all of them were well qualified and they were very fond of teaching they supported us very well. My favourite faculty was one Miss Ambily. The basic qualification for the faculties in VJEC was M.Tech.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
