Entrance exam: BITSAT, an online computer-based test. To apply in BITS Pilani, one needs to have 75% aggregate & at least 65% in PCM. The admission procedure is completely based on merit. There is no reservation whatsoever. BITSAT Application form can be found at bitsadmission.com

My course is B.E. in EEE. Faculty to student ratio is good. All the faculties are highly qualified & most of them have a PhD in the relevant disciplines. The teaching method is adopted from MIT, USA. Term exams are well set to check the application of concepts taught in the lectures.

PS or Practice school is a special internship course where a student goes to the industry with professors. He/She learns the application of lectures & sees how the work is done in real life. This program makes the student's industry ready & thus increases employability.

Placements start in the 7th semester. Around 150 medium & large companies make offers for the students. 90% of the students were placed, the rest 10% do not opt for placements because of entrepreneurship or higher studies. The average package for EEE was 17LPA.

The fee is hiked by 10% every year. The total cost of the degree is 24 lakhs for single degree students. Various scholarships are available to aid needy students. Around 30% of the students receive some financial assistance.

Quark is the annual cultural fest, conducted in late October. Quark is the annual tech fest. The library is massive with a huge collection of books. Classrooms are spacious & air-conditioned. Sports facilities are top-notch. Clubs for almost every activity are available to hone the skills of the students.

Hostels are well maintained, first-year students have double occupancy rooms, a cot, almirah, chair & whiteboard are provided by the institute. Mess food is excellent with new dishes every week. The hostels are all Wi-Fi enabled.
