Remarks

Admission at Lakshmibai college was seamless. Teachers and students volunteers helped a lot during the admission time. They even helped students take admission in different courses by guiding them. The admission is done solely on a merit basis except for bbe which is entrance based. only one form is to be filled for admission which is available at the admission counter. Once the admission committee reviews the requisite documents a fee slip is provided by the office member. All this happens in a very organized manner. Both the teaching and nonteaching staff is amicable and polite.

Course Curriculum Overview

The campus life is joyous. The infrastructure is great. The library is an amazing place to visit. All subjects' books are available. Moreover, there are reading rooms where one can study peacefully. Book fair, Diwali Mela, annual cultural fest, freshers party, and farewell party are awesome. There are a good number of clubs and societies where one can learn multiple things and hone one's talent/skills. In fact, every department has its own society like English has 'Rhetoricians.' The classrooms are neat and clean. Moreover, some new classrooms have been built which are beautiful. There is a gym for sportspeople and apparently, the coaches are also

Fees and Financial Aid

For campus placement, one must be a student of final year. Wings- the placement cell of the college looks after the placement opportunities and inform students from time to time. In 2019 internship fair was organized which gave students a chance to work for various NGOs and startups. Big companies do not usually come. However small companies do provide an experience of working in the corporate to the students. Apparently, the lowest package is around 200000 per annum and the highest is around 600000 per annum. I didn't work with any company as I wanted to focus on my graduation. Now I am looking forward to pursuing a master's.

Campus Life

The fee is very much fine. For English Hons, the annual fee is between rs7000-7500. There are some scholarship programs for students belonging to weaker sections of society. Information regarding the same can be sought from the office. During the COVID 19 pandemic college provided the installment option to students who were not able to submit fees in one go. This was a nice gesture.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

Bursting the bubble

I applied to almost all colleges offering the course that i have chosen, i got confirmed admissions in majority of them, however I chose this college because of it's location, unique exposure and the faculty. However, some of the colleges I applied to rejected me too, as this course is highly competitive and very few colleges offer this course, I acknowledge that I am not the best and hence I lost my spot in those colleges. The admission process : - Sit for the cuet exam - Portal opens for admission to all du colleges after one or two months, register there. - Admission happens in three phases through the portal ? registration, making and submission of the preference list (course wise and college wise) and lastly the allotment. Interest in Business and Economics and getting a DU Degree is the only reason to go here in 2025.

There are only 10 colleges offering BBE in Delhi University. So, therefore, the course is high in demand. It is a professional course so the college is still in the process of adapting to a professional setting. I applied for all other colleges offering BBE in DU, and got admitted here via the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET). My preference was to go to Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce to pursue this same course, but the cutoff for the same is very high.
