Remarks

To take admission in any NIT across India one must do good in JEE Mains. With a good percentile, one has to appear in JOSAA counseling. Based on your rank and preferences of college and branch you will get admission. This process is of 6 rounds and will continue for almost 1 month

Course Curriculum Overview

I am very much interested in research so being aware of the scopes of research in materials engineering I choose it. Here the faculty-student ratio is 1 teacher to 19 students. Most of the faculties are P.hd holders with great experience in their field.

Internships Opportunities

There are immense internship opportunities in every department from the 3rd year onwards. Since the institution has a great alumni base and good contacts with industries one can easily get internships.

Placement Experience

From 6th sem students are eligible for placement. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, city Bank, Visa, etc. come for placement with nearly 700 job offers in various fields. To be part of the placement process one must have 70 % marks in total grading.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is around 8 to 9 lakhs for 4 years and the fee can increase in some rare cases. After taking admission every bank in India will be ready to offer you an educational loan to manage your study-related expenses.

Campus Life

There are many clubs out there so one can enjoy the club culture here. Annual tech fest Innovision is quite attractive and Nitrutsav is the annual fest here. Sporting culture is also very nice. We have swimming pools, basketball, tennis, badminton and volleyball courts.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good. There is a total of 11 hostels are present here all have canteen facilities. The food is hygiene. Proper sanitation is maintained inside and around the hostel. The hostel registration process is hassle-free with an online registration system.

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people.
