Remarks

Bit Mesra comes under GFTI. It takes admission through jee main marks. Try to score above 93 percentile to secure a seat in this college. It has a reservation for sc/st and obc and also for Jharkhand students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I took B.tech in the chemical engineering branch here. Faculty members are very supportive and many of them are Ph.D. scholars. Faculty: student ratio is also very decent. Their teaching methodology is also very good.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships in our college are very exciting. Many ITs and software companies offer internships programs to all the interested students. Projects made by the students in internship programs are very nice.

Placement Experience

Placements of my college are extraordinary for the Computer Science branch. Other branches also have a very good placements ratio. Many giant companies are visiting here like Goldmann Sachs, Accenture, Reliance industries.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of Bit Mesra are almost 15 to 16 lakhs including the hostel fee for completing a b.tech degree. There are various scholarships provided to the students. The jobs provided on the campus are very excellent here. Both core and noncore companies visit here.

Campus Life

Bit Mesra campus is very huge. It is more than 800 acres. Annual fests like bitotsav and various others are held. Many clubs and societies are there for enhancing personality. Sports grounds like cricket ground, volleyball ground, etc. are available.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels here are well equipped with all necessary facilities. Mess food is also decent. They provide four time meals and the quality of food is also okay . Wardens and Hostel incharge take cares of all students facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
