IIIT Raichur Review

My JEE ranking was average or can say an ordinary ranking but I wanted to opt for CSE as I was interested in computer algorithms and technology. I was allotted the college during my JOSAA counselling and I found that the college only provides a CSE program at the moment which was very good for me. But after taking admission I realised that the college is mentored by IIT Hyderabad and we are taught by the faculty of IIT Hyderabad. As IIT Hyderabad is among the top 10 engineering colleges of India. IIIT Raichur was like a blessing in disguise for me.

The curriculum of the college is similar to IIT Hyderabad which means the curriculum is the latest and as per the industrial latest guidelines and according to the international standards. The curriculum provides us with complete knowledge of computer technology and helps us to understand the fundamentals of computer programming and algorithms properly. Most of our subjects are taught by the faculty of IIT Hyderabad. The faculty IIIT Raichur is also very good and the faculty is highly qualified and is very cooperative. At the moment, the college only provided a CSE program so the faculty are experts and are highly experienced in their domain.

The college provides internships but at the moment I am in my first year of the program and we can take part in the internship program after completing the 3 years of our program. But our seniors told us the college placement committee will help us out during the internship program and what I have seen in the college is that the committee is supportive and helpful.

We are eligible for placement during the fourth year of our program and at the moment I am in my second year of the program. But based on my personal experience and as the seniors of the college are very friendly and cooperative they told us that we have to register our details with the placement committee for taking part in the college placement round. The placement committee will help us during the placement rounds. I have seen that my seniors were paled in good companies and they have also received good packages. The average salary package for our senior was around 10 LPA.

At the moment college does not have any scholarship program but state and central government-funded scholarships are available. An education loan facility is also available. The average complete course fee of the B.Tech program is around 8 lakh.

The campus life of the college is good. At the moment the college is operating from the temporary campus. The college classrooms are good and spacious. The college also provides sports facilities like a Volleyball court, basketball court and badminton court. The college library is good and modern there all types of academics and self-help books are available in the library. During our first year, most of our classes were online.

The hostel rooms are available on a double sharing basis. The rooms are big and properly ventilated. The mess food quality is good and the food is cooked in a hygienic environment. The hostel also provides us 24 hours of WiFi, water and power supply. The hostel wardens and the staff are very cooperative. The hostel has all kinds of basic and modern facilities as per our comfort.
