Remarks
This state government-owned university provides a great experience for its students. The main highlight i found was the course structure and its placement opportunities. When i opted for non-medical in 11th standard, on the side i started preparing for the JEE exam. In the counselling sessions, i got admission here. The final admission is based on merit and the performance in the interview round. I submitted the application fee online along with all the documents.
Course Curriculum Overview
Practical performance is the key part in every semester of this course. The course is divided into 4 years covered in over two semesters a year. All the subjects are in accordance with the latest trends in technology. In those 4 years, a lot of seminars, online workshops, quizzes were organized to open up the learning power of students. Education level of the professors was very good and all were highly experienced in their fields.
Placement Experience
Opportunities in respect of placements are good here. I sat for the placements in the 8th semester. One should have no backlogs and the minimum percentage should be 60% in all the semesters. The highest package went to Rs. 14 LPA and the minimum package was Rs. 4 LPA. IBM, Wipro, TATA Steel, Capgemini were one of the few best companies that visited the campus for the placement week.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are various scholarship options available for students who come from weak financial backgrounds. The basic ones like on the basis of merit, on the basis of performance in sports and for those students who belong to SC/ST/OBC category. Entire cost of B.Tech degree is Rs. 4.16 lakhs for 4 years. At the last, loan from the bank is also an option if you are not selected for any scholarship.
Campus Life
Getting a B.Tech degree is not an easy task. At the start of the course, I attended every event and seminar. The first year ended with lots of memories and prizes won in the competitions. From the 2nd year, assignments and projects seemed to have taken over power your campus life. Although, I did attend some of the major events. These years taught me time management along with many other things.
