Remarks
The college is owned and run by CMI fathers and it is one of teh prestigeous organization. The faculty are very good and experienced, the facilities are good. I have not much idea on what kind of changes happened in last couple of years and the courses and system had undergone many changes.
Entrance Preview
It was one of the best colleges that time where students like to study. More over, in teh same year the state's secondary school exam first rank holder also was from my district and who also joined to this college for higher studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum were decided by the university but teh college has a good environment and facilities.
Internships Opportunities
There was no internship scheme available that time as it was not part of the course. So, there is no stipend too. The course I attended was a beginner course which did not need any internships.
Placement Experience
Since the time I passed out was not 'IT boom' and the college did not have any engineering or Management courses other than the regular arts and science graduate/post graduate courses, no campus interview/placements were common.
College Events
The annual college day celebrations are the first one caming to my mind. The college has a well built auditorium which was used for all functions. The annual day celebrations lasts to 2 or 3 days and usually ended up with 'Ganamela' - the music programme by external professional troups. Besides that there were different cultural programmes conducted every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it is a government aided college, students need not to pay any fee except some pennies as special fee. The unaided/self finance kind of courses were not popular that time and there was no such courses in this college at that time. So, all students at that time were studying almost free of cost.
Fees and Financial Aid
College offered a couple of scholarships / endowments for best students which were organized by formar students or wellwishers etc.
Campus Life
The campus life was amazing, one could realize it only when aged. The small competitions/fights and escaping from the class through last door was really funny. The principal was very strict so even teh senior students were feared of him.
Hostel Facilities
There were two hostels available which were reserved for girls only. No hostel facilities were available at that time for boys. The hostels were run by different congrigations and not under direct control of the college.
Exam Structure
The college has strict policy of internal exams which were conducted 1-2 times in a academic year. The lab facility was good and external examiners from other colleges, who are appointed by the university supervises the annual exams.
