The admission process was smooth involving case analysis and personal interview rounds after thorough analysis of the profile details filled on the portal. Application fees and dates can be found on the website with a stepwise guide. I would like to suggest a better and a transparent waitlisting method of admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is a super-specialized course in marketing communications that provides deep learning about social media marketing which is my area of interest. The faculty are friendly and teach very well. They have thorough experience in their respective fields. Real-life case studies are used to explain concepts that help in understanding them better. Exams are conducted on a trimester basis which helps in testing knowledge and touching up concepts at regular intervals. The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. I chose this course as I had a keen interest in Marketing Communications.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available throughout the two years in the form of live projects as well as summer internships. The placement committee works to a great extent to bring well-known companies to the campus. The great alumni base of the institute adds on a lot more in terms of knowledge sharing and opportunities. Varied roles are available and one can choose based on their liking and specialization. A lot of companies like Accenture, Infosys, Nestle, Britannia, HSBC, ICICI, Bajaj, etc companies come for summer internships. The stipend starts from 0 and goes up to 1.45 LPA.
Placement Experience
A lot of good companies visit the campus for placements in the form of summer internships as well as final placements. The process is well regulated. The institute has umbrella placements so that students from varied backgrounds and specializations can apply for any role if they are eligible for the same. Almost 100% of students get placed every year. Roughly 10-12 lakhs is the average package and the highest package is close to 28-30 LPA. Companies like McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, Salesforce, Capgemini, Infosys, Nestle, Britannia, etc visit the campus for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees depend on whether the students are availing of the hostel facility. The approximate fee is around 16 lakhs for the 2021-2023 batch and 19 lakhs for the 2022-2024 batch. Umbrella placements help the students from varied backgrounds and specializations to apply and get selected for their dream roles for summer internships as well as for final placement. Scholarships can be availed through a certain procedure. All details of financial assistance are provided on the official website of the college.
Campus Life
The institute is student-driven on a large scale. A lot of events take place throughout the year which is attended by industry stalwarts and a huge alumni base. There are various committees for different types of roles in the institute which promote extra-curricular and profile development to a great extent. The campus is huge and lush green. The library is updated with the latest editions of books and journals which are also updated on the e-library database. Classrooms are well-equipped for teaching-learning pedagogies to take place effortlessly. There are a lot of committees like core committees namely PR and Branding Committee, Placement Committee, Admissions Committee, Alumni Committee, and other clubs.
Interview Experience
The admission process involved profile shortlisting based on the detailed information filled while applying. The shortlist was followed by case analysis and personal interview rounds. It is imperative to stay up-to-date with current affairs. The Case analysis topic revolved around the same case. One should also have thorough knowledge about their field of graduation and work experience. One should know the application by heart while appearing for the interview since the panel reads what you have written in there.
