Entrance Preview

I didn't opt for any engineering course. So to continue my studies further I decided to join sri pratap college as it seemed a decent college and I had herd a lot about it from my elder brothers. The admission procedure is quite simple. After passing out from 12th class.and scoring about average marks. We have to apply for admission choosing our course of study. And sri pratap college is one of the most popular colleges of sringar j&k.

Internships Opportunities

My college experience was very good. As this college only offers course related to BSC. Therefore there were no company offers. After completing the BSC course from this college we have to apply for higher courses. Such as MSC,PHD. In universities.I would highly recommend Kashmir university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of sripratap college is very feasible every person weather rich or poor can get quality education at this prestigious college. Student studying BSC have to pay 3000 rs for a calener year. And some extra rs fir I'd card and stuffs moreover its a government college so there are various scholarships offers.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the fee structure of sri pratap college is feasible. There are no scholarships and loan facilities offered by the college however there are various scholarships programmes run by the government.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel of sri pratap college is not very far away from the college there are separate hostles for boys and girls the rooms offered are quite average nothing special about them. The mess and food are also average but aceeotable the average cost of staying in the hostle is around 20,000. Per annum.

First impression of any college is their physical appearance, it was literally very worst. In this biotechnology course there should be more practical work than theory but there we study only theories so university have to focus on practical work

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
