Likes

Hostel is too clean with great food available of your choice
In Canteen the prices of food items is extremely cheap and regulated all the time
Not much issue of attending classes you unlike other collegees

Dislikes

Teachers are mostly contractual so that can be an issue sometimes
Washrooms are noth that great, pretty usable but could be better

Internships Opportunities

My college offers a wide range of internship opportunities for its students especially in the tech and business sectors notable companies provide sponsored internships with roles ranging from software development to data analyst and much more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee is 10,000 rs in total and it decreases by a thousand every year till course finishes exam fees per 6 months( after every semester is 1000 to 2000 rs) the college faculty is amazing with hostel also provided for very cheap and frest food service

Campus Life

Campus life at my college is diverse and vibrant. Socially there are numerous student run clubs including coding, debating and cultural groups. Also annual events include techfest and many more which offers students to show their creativity

Admission

I have chosen course my college due to its excellent faculty and industry ties i applied to several institutions and i was accepted into total of 3 colleges but i found that my current college offered more personalized mentorship and better internship opportunities

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

GOVT M.A.M COLLEGE,JAMMU : A Success path to life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
