Remarks
The school of management studies always maintains a good standard in the academic ground and I also found this institute suitable to pursue my management degree. In the process of admission, they accepted a valid CAT score. I got a good score in CAT which definitely helped me in getting a good rank at the time of admission. In the process of admission, we also appeared in the interview round and group discussion round. All applications I submitted online and also paid Rs. 1000 as the application fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to join a corporate management position which is why I took up this course. I took Finance as my specialized paper so in the fourth semester, I read the specialized paper-like Managing Financial Services and Institutions, Strategic Financial Management, Corporate Tax Planning, Taxation, etc. We had four semesters in this two years full-time program and in the first three semesters, I read core courses related to finance, marketing, operation, IT, etc. All the credit scores were distributed among different integral parts of the program, those were theoretical courses, Lab courses, summer internships, and Business Research projects.
Placement Experience
In addition to Deloitte, Canara Bank, South Indian Bank, OYO, Berger, TCS, HDFC Bank, and Coal India, a number of other recruiters participated in the final placement program. The highest salary package offered was Rs.67.6 LPA and an average salary of Rs.10.75 LPA was offered in our final placement program. The case study analysis, attending the alumni talks, participating in workshops, seminars helped me in the time of compassing. I did not join any job because I had decided to prepare for the civil service exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid Rs. 35000 per semester academic fees and also paid some other fees like development fees, examination fees along with the semester fees. Though I did not apply for any scholarship schemes there were some scholarship schemes were available for us. I did not get a scholarship. One of my friends told me that all the scholarships were available through the national scholarship portal.
Campus Life
‘Tarang’ was our annual management fest and one of my favorite events on our campus. I used to play badminton in my recreational moments. One of the favorite corners of our campus was the study center cum library. We also had the football court and basketball court.
