Ankit Shah's Review On Kishinchand Chellaram College - [KC College], Mumbai

The college management has taken good amount of steps to maintain college discipline and there are anti-ragging policies which were put into place while we joined. The infrastructure is well maintained and curriculum of the courses is also upto the mark. This college will be my first recommendation to any fresher planning to join college.

I joined this college after SSC and joined in Electrical Maintenance department as my vocational subject and Science as my main stream.

Physics, chemistry, maths, english, hindi and EM. There were different vocational subjects to choose from like computers, electronis, electrical maintenance or non vocational subjects like biology and economics.

The placements were available for studebts joining for a BSC course or any other bachelors degree. Companies like TCS and Infosys also joined in campus placements. The percentage placements were really good.

There were many college events Kiran was one of the main cultural festival. The participation was at inter college level and almost all the colleges of Mumbai use to participate in the same.

Feasible. The fees use to vary based on the kindof subject selected. For vocational subjects fees were on higher end around 12000 per year whereas non vocational fees were 7000 a year.

Yes the college does provide scholarship at different levels based on your need and your previous performance. Loans were not available.

The gender ratio was almost 50:50. There were no distinction based on religion or culture. The college was open to all and fair and just with it met all the quality standards.

Mess food was really good and hostel facilities were affordable with nice food. The rooms were on twin sharing basis and comfortable in stay for 2 people.

Strong Alumnus. The alumnus really works hard for the college and contribute financially as well as from the perspective of education. A lot professors are a part of alumni.

Exams and labs were nicely planned giving us time for liesure activities as well. The exams were at regular intervals of 3 months.

Faculty was really helpful and with vast experience. All the teachers use to provide personal attention and clarify each and every doubt which the students had.
